Clericalism
You believe that a society governed by religious authorities will lead to a morally upright and spiritually fulfilled population.
Clericalism is a political ideology that advocates for the involvement of religious institutions, particularly the clergy, in the governance and public affairs of a state. It is based on the belief that religious authorities should have direct influence or control over political decisions, often in the form of a theocracy or ecclesiocracy. This ideology is not confined to a specific religion and can be seen in various forms across different religious contexts.
The history of clericalism dates back to ancient times when religious leaders often held significant political power. In many…

That depends on how inclusive it intended to be and actually was - I think that most religious teachings boil down to love, kindness, respect and the power of community which are all obviously good but they are so often weaponised and politicised which can create dangerous division rather than cohesion

Do you think scientific advancements would progress at the same rate if they were subject to religious approval?
@9HX6HPD2yrs2Y
No it would not while scientists and doctors can be religious the world of religion of belief deals with the theological and theological principles are not tested in the same manner as scientific ones. The idea that science should be dictated by Clerics is nonsense, Science is based on the evidence of what can be proved, and faith is evidence based on belief and the unseen. Faith is a personal matter between an individual and what they believe science is fact and can be evidenced as such.

The church should be separate from politics, there should be no influence of faith over matters regarding the public. Not everyone is catholic/Christian or religious, morals and beliefs will clash, plus I personally do not gave faith as I have witnessed the rife corruption and abuse of children that are constantly swept under the rug. That alone should be enough for them not to be trusted

What would finding personal fulfillment look like in a world where religious officials defined the parameters of happiness?
@9LFR9JW2yrs2Y
Separation of church in state is my stance. What has been done with religion as an excuse in ancient past times, should not be a modern concern, especially when people have changed so much in all those years. We don't want another crusade or to be dictated by an age-old fantasy book on how to rule our lives. We should not need it, we are smart enough without it, and common sense, care and consideration for others should not seek validation in the bible, or other religious texts.
