Is it the government's role to regulate businesses to protect the environment, even if it means lower profits for those businesses?

 @9H9KYJYanswered…1yr1Y

 @9HBZD49answered…1yr1Y

Depends how much profit we mean. If large companies and corporations lose out on exploiting customers excessively, so be it. But if small businesses suffer, not fair. The environment is an incredibly important issue but I worry that it has become a political rather than a logical, scientific topic.

 @9H7ZFHSanswered…1yr1Y

Absolutely. One business is not more important than the future of this planet.

How does the idea of equal access to healthcare for all make you feel about the society you live in?

 @9KFNGDNanswered…1yr1Y

Well I think there should be equal access to healthcare for MOST people as the rich could afford to pay something.

 @9KFMZPCanswered…1yr1Y

I think that everyone should get the chance to have the same healthcare but if someone is in need of immediate and extra help and cannot get it on the NHS, then they should be able to pay for private healthcare.

Do you think having free college education for everyone is worth higher taxes?

 @9H7JXCMLiberal Democratanswered…1yr1Y

Yes. Intelligence and talent are not confined to those who can afford higher education. My not funding free college education think of the wasted talent of a country and the inefficiency of that when we are in a global world with a competition for innovation and development.

If your access to better schools depended on your parents' income, how might your view of 'equality of opportunity' change?

 @9HLFNNVanswered…1yr1Y

This should never be an issue. There should be no private schools and access to education should be equitable for everyone.

Imagine if every job, from janitor to CEO, came with the same benefits package - how do you think that would impact society?

 @9HLG4CHanswered…1yr1Y

This would positively impact society as we would have equal rights to healthcare and bigger corporations would not get larger benefits than those who cannot get a better job than where they are now.
