I think too many people cry “wolf” and “woke” without acknowledging the privileges they already have and truly understanding the struggles other people have either had to face, or are currently facing, for the same rights that they have. There is far too much scapegoating, and I do think the media is largely to blame for trivialising important social issues. I think that prejudice is far too complex and broad for simple, one-off acknowledgements and private media companies need to be held to more account by watchdog bodies
