They already do

Most Hollywood movies already inspire societal and technological innovation. But it is typical for these messages to be in support of the current political and economical situation of the west and the films and media are there to convince people, in one way or another, to give themselves up to a dream or aspiration of becoming something great or to live a happy quiet life and the only way to do this is to completely melt into the current system. To not challenge it or question it but rather how to hop on the jet-stream of capital. All whilst instilling into people’s minds that this current system, despite all the negatives, is the greatest and only suitable system to live in and to be able to achieve your dream in. Which consequently creates a patriotic and proud vision of countries like America for its people as they have now been lead to believe they live in, represent, and defend the greatest and most liveable country on Earth. Media is essential in the goal of indoctrination and to model a culture to how the ruling classes want.
