Do you think it's fair for a government to ban certain social media platforms based on where they come from?

I think it's fair for government to be able to ban certain social media platforms, but the decision shouldn't be based solely on where they come from. I would trust the Chinese government to be responsible with my personal data far more than I would trust Facebook. Instead, social media platforms should be banned based on whether they try and promote certain distasteful views or not.

No ots not fair, just because they don't agree woth something, dosnt mean it's bad or that it should be removed

Should one person, like the President, have the power to decide which social media apps are a threat to national security?

No. There's no reason to give all that power to one person. It is a decision that should be made in a way that represents the views of the people of the country.

How would you feel if the government had the power to shut down your favorite social media platform in the name of national security?

How would the banning of TikTok before an election impact young voters' abilities to share and receive information?

If the government can ban TikTok today, what other freedoms might be at risk tomorrow?
