I think equality is important and trans athletes has no inherent advantages compared to their cis counterparts.

 @9VY8CNNfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

Yes and frankly, bigots coopt the values of fairness and equality and twist them to suit their ignorant views

 @9VXFNSFGreenfrom New York  answered…3mos3MO

I think people are transphobic idiots who don't really care about reality, and they will just find any reason to find a reason to **** on trans people. It's such a stupid **** ing culture war nonsense.

Yes and No. I feel like sometimes it's just an excuse for people to be transphobic however biologically, men are stronger/more athletic than woman therefore there will only have advantages. Yes they go through a surgery and take hormones but it does change them in bone structure. The hormones are just chemical messengers

I believe the current debate around transgender athletes is rooted in bigotry and suppression of other people. I do believe there should be rules and regulations in place that decide when a transgender athlete is able to compete in their sport for either gender. The whole of the Olympic games is built based on genetic advantages and these genetic advantages are what allow people to win in their sport. Furthermore, hormonal therapies allow bring hormone levels to incredibly similar levels in transgender people as they exist in cisgender people meaning the advantage is minimised.

 @9VTH2KManswered…3mos3MO

no it is not that deep it only applies factual biology to the reason why those transgender athletes still need to be limited to their orginal sex category

 @9VSYZ2Xanswered…3mos3MO

I don’t think people who are transgender should be able to compete in other genders sports.

 @9VS83SGanswered…3mos3MO

Compete in the gender you are born in as there is no difference between biological sex and gender.

 @9VMSTFGanswered…3mos3MO

The backlash on the topic of transgender athletes is incredibly over the top. Every athlete could be measured on the amount of testosterone, as some women naturally have higher levels, similar to men. Does this give them an advantage and should they be banned from competing? If the amount of testosterone is what give biological men an advantage then is that what should be regulated over if they have a penis or not. Biological men are said to have a "biological advantage" competing against women, but Michael Phelps also has a biological advantage over his competitors for having a very large wingspan.

Absolutely. Talk about fairess; hat about the fairness to the female athletes being forced to compete against cowardly men too weak to face people of their own gender in sport competitions, who thereby ruin the lives of many women who have worked their whole lives to win a sports competition?

 @9TZ54L7Count Binfaceanswered…3mos3MO

Sort of, the fight for equality is tipping the other way and making it unfair for people unreasonably

 @9TS32T7Labouranswered…4mos4MO

I think a lot of people are chasing for validation and representation within this aspect of sports, but it is having a noticeable impact on the sports themselves

 @9WM6R89answered…2mos2MO

No, this debate is simply scapegoating people to distract from real issues.

 @9WHW2MNanswered…2mos2MO

Transgender athletes should not be allowed, a woman changing to a man should be in women’s sports and a man changing to a woman should me in men’s sports or transgender athletes should be banned altogether.

 @9WBPW7Mfrom Maine  answered…3mos3MO

I think trans people should be and are equal to non trans people. But still, there should be restrictions on them in sport due to male physical advantage.

 @9W7YQ3SLabouranswered…3mos3MO

It is unfair to have transgender athletes, because if a biological male athlete peforms in a biological female sport, then there will be a clear advantage which is unfair for the female athletes.

  @Stuff31answered…3mos3MO

It reflects deep systemic bigotry in our society not just affecting trans people, but also women and standards of femininity in general. Policing what it means to be "female" is incredibly harmful and the entire "trans debate" has bred nothing but hate and vitriol.

 @9W6QYD8from Nevada  answered…3mos3MO

Yes. Transgender rights topple the patriarchy at an ideological level which is the stated goal of feminism.

 @9W3MWT5Reform UKanswered…3mos3MO

No and they should not be allowed to become trans in the first place unless 1000% sure.

 @9V4V9Q2answered…3mos3MO

Yes create their own catagories. I wanna see how strong someone can be when juiced up.

 @9VPQLMGLiberal Democratanswered…3mos3MO

In my opinion, there should be two new categories, for both trans genders. therefore cis gender people/ trans gender people wont feel as if they have an advantage/disadvantage.

 @9VPPYQHanswered…3mos3MO

It shows that people are highly puritanical and will make up complete nonsense just to disqualify marginalised communities from partaking in public life.
