Really glad to see the UK sticking to its guns on food standards—public health should never be up for negotiation in trade deals. It’s refreshing to see that ministers are listening to people's concerns rather than rolling over for big American agribusiness. Social democracies are built on protecting citizens, not just boosting profits, so this is a step in the right direction. Let’s hope they keep this same energy for other areas, like workers’ rights and environmental protections, as these trade talks continue.
