While global warming may be a natural occurrence, the correlation between human activity and increasing global temperature is quite undeniable and fairly basic science. However, if one wants to believe it is a natural occurrence there still remains the question of what we do about it? The debate over manmade and natural is essentially pointless. We have to be in a position to adapt to all climate eventualities. Mitigation is important to reduce the human impact and we need to re-evaluate the bigger picture - what are we progressing towards as a society? What is the end goal? Only when we know the end goal of humanity can we set a plan in motion that is targeted at relevant issues. My stance is for adaptation, lets invest in technology to allow comfortable human existence in an increasingly warm world and be prepared for any situation that comes our way.
Here are the top political news stories for today.
We should invest in green energy and move away from fossil fuels and we should actively educate the younger people and the old about climate change and how they can help while also putting regulations and laws in place against businesses that actively contribute towards climate change. Adapting only wins within the short term and actually is detrimental to the continuation of the human race and is ignorant towards the planet we reside in so we should act now instead of slowly wasting away.
