The MP job should take a person's full attention. Police officers are not allowed to moonlight during their working week.

People work second jobs as they can't get enough money from one, why should the law decrease someone's income

MPs should be paid far higher wages than they are to prevent the need for second jobs. This would also likely attract far more talented and capable individuals

If an MP has a second job it makes them more relatable and they will be able to identify common issues as they will work along side them.
