I want MPs who have experience of business and commerce and a ban would discourage such people from becoming MPs. Let the constituents decide if their MP is doing their job effectively despite their business interests. Everyone has other commitments in life, would they suggest banning single parents or those with caring responsibilities?

Politicians do not work 24/7. Many of the politicians we see in the world today have worked in other jobs.

It's hard enough to trust IT'S and if there is any question or doubt around biased then a second job may muddy the waters.

Many people can give 100% of their effort to more than one thing. Such as work, hobbies, parenting. If they choose to do so. Then they are free to do so.
