No and the practice should be explicitly illegal with no loopholes such as trail hunting. It is out dated and has no place in modern society.

 @9PWDD5L answered…9mos9MO

Yes but you should require a hunting permit and issue quotas for the amount of foxes that are allowed to be hunted by a person within a year

 @9NMKFSQanswered…10mos10MO

No. But individuals whose poultry/livestock are damaged by foxes should not be punished for hunting down said fox with a dog as long as it is not exposed to undue suffering.

 @9P6LYBDConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

No, it's cruel, if there is an issue with foxes in an area then the natural predator of the fox should be introduced

 @92FC2LManswered…3yrs3Y

No but farmers should continue to shoot foxes for being threats to their livelihoods

 @9CCX4X4answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, provided it is regulated and does not endanger the fox population from overuse.

 @8FP2G65answered…4yrs4Y

Regardless, this is a matter of culture and should not be influenced by government

 @9TNG7SCAnimal Welfareanswered…6mos6MO

I think that there should be a limit to what dogs can hunt. For example, dogs can hunt birds and pheasants but not animals such as foxes, sheep ect.

 @9T3DSPHanswered…7mos7MO

If the foxes and Dogs have deadly diseases such as Rabies or if they are severely affect agriculture then it is fine in my opinion, however for entertainment purposes I believe it is extremely wrong

 @9QLRN2Lanswered…9mos9MO

Hunting should only be permitted in any case where the local ecology supports it. Fox populations are currently not in a position to support hunting for sport, and neither are deer populations managed in a way which supports the environment in Scotland. It should not be an offence to kill either animal but it should not be encouraged or legal as a sport

 @9QM69S9Reform UKanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, to an extent if it is to control the population of foxes, but it shouldn’t be allowed simply for a pleasurable pastime

 @9QJB5RRanswered…9mos9MO

No, it is cruel, tradition can be upheld with ‘clean boot’ hunts and the current laws should be enforced properly

 @9QFDS8Lanswered…9mos9MO

Foxes are no longer hunted with dogs since the hunting ban. Cleanboot and drag hunting should not be banned as this will lead to the death of thousands of dogs and horses and the loss of livelihood of hundreds of people who hugely help protect our environment

 @9QBL4X4answered…9mos9MO

Must be atheist by the famers and make sure the roads. Do T agree but let's do it safe . Munck jack running is going to kill me and the mini jack ., indjnt fancy dieing today deer and a banger flip.ped us over .

 @9Q99JZ6answered…9mos9MO

Those involved in the chase should have to pay compensation to the residents of involved properties and land.

 @9PN737Tanswered…9mos9MO

I disagree with actively hunting foxes but think planned scent hunts should still be allowed. It’s such a big part of English heritage and should not be lost completely.

 @9PLD7KDanswered…9mos9MO

I support getting rid of foxes humanely...I have lost many chicken to the fox...but not by being ripped apart by dogs...a single shot is far more humane

 @9PKBMH5answered…9mos9MO

As long as it is regulated to ensure that it doesn’t risk extinction population levels of the animals

 @9P64R6Janswered…10mos10MO

I do hunt but fear that if brought back in non hunters will cause alot more problems and currently the hunts illegally kill

 @9P2ZXVZanswered…10mos10MO

No, the actual hunting of foxes should remain illegal however trail hunts that are monitored to be performing legally should be allowed

 @9MV38MKanswered…10mos10MO

no but culling Urban foxes should be legalised through a reputable firm - like the deer cull in Richmond Park

 @9LQH3MDConservativeanswered…11mos11MO

But we should have oversight and recourse to take action if foxes/badger etc numbers increase to the extent that ut is detrimental to livestock. Then the government should step in to control numbers. I do not agree with fox hunting because it is a tradition.

 @9LFPJP4answered…12mos12MO

Only where there is a limit on the number of dogs in use at any time and the dog is only used to chase foxes out of their homes where they have been known to attack local farmstock.

 @9KQLQMS answered…1yr1Y

I don't support the act of the sport itself but I do support the right for farmers etc to protect their live stock if threatened.

 @9KB4257answered…1yr1Y

Kinda depand if you're grabbing foxs then releasing them to hunt OR hunting them because there a problem

 @9K8XQT6answered…1yr1Y

No. Encourage the tradition to be done with willing human volunteers if they still want to participate in the tradition.

 @9HJHSRRanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if it’s for tradition and done in a way that’s responsible and doesn’t cause the foxes much suffering

 @9HJ5YWLGreenanswered…1yr1Y

Dont really care either way, however foxes should be kept under control as they can carry disease and can destroy habitat

 @9H7H6RQanswered…1yr1Y

No, it should remain illegal and furthermore, drag hunting should be monitored more since it is often used as a smokescreen for illegal fox hunting.

 @9H64RDPanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, only if it's done to control the population of foxes to prevent destabilisation in the ecosystem.

 @9GZSCZPanswered…1yr1Y

No. I support the hunting of animals such as rabbits with the intention to eat them. Hunting foxes is merely a sport and I do not support it.

 @9GBPQFL answered…1yr1Y

Yes, it is cruel. It should only be carried out in a harmless manner if there is an overpopulation issue. It should not be a sport.

 @9FHT42Ganswered…2yrs2Y

rural foxes should be removed and put in their natural habitats instead of at risk of harm to us and them

 @9FD2255answered…2yrs2Y

yes, only if a person needs to survive, out of spite should not be recommended

 @9DVNJBXConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

It isnt nice, however it is a tradition, maybe a middle ground in which foxes could be bread for hunting purposes, similar to game shoots.

 @9P9D9VNanswered…10mos10MO

I support up until the fox goes to go ground , the fox at this point has won and should not be dug or driven out by terriers

 @9NS7VWYanswered…10mos10MO

It is a tradition. However, mainly taken up by those in the higher income bracket. Foxes are considered vermin in certain areas as they attack farms. This is a form of pest control. However, the use of dogs to kill the foxes can be seen as barbaric and more humane ways should be considered.

 @9NQQGQZanswered…10mos10MO

No, but I support the hunting of a human quarry with bloodhounds or packs following an artificial scent that bears no relation to wildlife.

 @9NDMYLLConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

Yes but undertaken within the law. For example, flushed by dogs and then killed humanely via a bird of prey/gun NOT ripped to shreds by a dog 5 miles later

 @9N425C7answered…10mos10MO

I don't mind the horses and the dogs, as long as they don't kill or hunt foxes. I support the hunt if they ate using a person but pretending to be fox and they hunt that way.

 @9N2QTNDanswered…10mos10MO

I agree with drag hunting as a traditional sport but the hounds need to be trained to scents away from foxes and be muzzled to prevent incidents of foxes being killed by hounds

 @9N2MP73answered…10mos10MO

Yes, it is a tradition of rural communities but there should be a closer look at the treatment of the foxes, if they are killed quickly and with limited suffering

 @9MXZ75Janswered…10mos10MO

Yes, this is a tradition that supports rural communities. But should only be done if foxs are over populated in the area or becoming an issue

 @9MWWNMJanswered…10mos10MO

If hunting foxes with dogs is cruel, so is allowing a pet cat out to roam and kill birds, mice, shrews etc.

 @9GJ4MT7answered…1yr1Y

I support people hunting foxes for sport or because of tradition but not with dogs as it is a less skilled and more brutal way of hunting

 @9PGJZTTanswered…9mos9MO

I live in the countryside, and fox hunts are still happening in rishis constituency! They are wearing, cruel and do NOT help control fox populations. Most foxes live in towns and cities not anyway!

 @9PGDV76answered…9mos9MO

Yes, public or not, it is required as a planned cull of foxes, which for farmers and livestock owners are vermin just the same as rats

 @99YKL3Hanswered…2yrs2Y

Fox's that destroy infrastructure should be shot. Same for badger's with TB.

 @96NRRJLConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, however only in areas where it is necessary for foxes to be culled due to overpopulation and distraction of the surrounding environment.

 @95YLM8Hanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but it should be licensed on an individual basis with strict background checks made.

 @95VVVWVanswered…3yrs3Y

 @95L3BGBanswered…3yrs3Y

 @95BJZRHanswered…3yrs3Y

No, this is a barbaric practice and should be banned everywhere in the UK.

 @946X2G6Conservativeanswered…3yrs3Y

Fake/Trail hunts should still be allowed but actually hunting should remain banned.

 @946GS7Yanswered…3yrs3Y

 @9424M87Greenanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if proof that fox populations are out of control, not as sport.

 @93VCB7Panswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but the practice should be regulated so to not harm indigenous fox populations

 @93SDWTBanswered…3yrs3Y

I think the fox hunters should be hunted. Killing for pleasure is not someone beneficial to society

 @93Q3QZ3answered…3yrs3Y

 @92N9SSSanswered…3yrs3Y

 @929C4T9answered…3yrs3Y

If the foxes pose threat to a farmers crops and that fox population should be measured

 @9267QF7answered…3yrs3Y

Only in the case where foxes are damaging local farms/ecosystem and not excessively

 @8ZWQ68RLibertariananswered…3yrs3Y

No, hunting with a dog is pathetic unless using it for tracking or retrieval of the carcass, I support hunting when a person kills the animal themselves

 @8YTYF58Liberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

yes, only if there is no fox involved and a man-made scent should be followed

 @8YDDRD7answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VZ6S9Zanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes but it should have a lot of oversight to make sure it’s not effecting population numbers

 @8VYLJHRConservativeanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, I think that there is a balance to be struck. Hunting groups should be allowed as the current system and in some cases where population control warrants.

 @8VYK5VRanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes but the fox must live or be killed humanly with a gun no dogs ripping it apart

 @8VSY84Lanswered…4yrs4Y

Whilst I wouldn’t support hunting personally, I think cheap meat and poor animal welfare affects far more animals and gas implications for both animal and human health and welfare

 @DAVIEBrexitanswered…4yrs4Y

Things would currently stay as they are, unless a petition was successful in reversing the ban.

 @8VKBBVRLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

Whilst this is a culturally and geographically relative act, it is a practice formally enacted upon by particular quantiles of society. Moreover, it is seen as an act of animal cruelty by the greater swathes of the population and studies have found that foxes are, behaviourally, friendly and of no threat to the human population. This is not an act of sustenance, as seen in other hunting methods found in indigenous and rural communities, but is seen as an act of unnecessary cruelty. It is also at the centrifuge of class politics.

 @8VD3GFVGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

No, and the police need to do more to enforce current laws and stricter punishments for those that break it
