I've seen myself where the money is being spent. For instance hundreds of consoles, pcs and tvs. It needs to put a limit on where the money is going.

With my desire to restrict our activities in foreign wars, our defence funding should only be calculated for national needs.

 @9P6LYBDConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

Our armed forces are a joke compared to what they once were, money needs to be better spent before more is invested.

 @9N6P5K5answered…10mos10MO

Potentially increase or decrease. This needs to be looked in how we are spending the money in the first place as im sure some of it is wasted / services are overpaid.

 @9LNG7TManswered…12mos12MO

ONLY should increase if it is concern to our country. Should not be using our tax payer money for other countries crises, we don't even have enough money in the country. A lot of people/citizen are struggling, use tax payer money for own country.

The military spending should be moderate and balanced with other priorities for Great Britain. A military spending which is appropriate for defending the nation.

 @9J4V8S7Labouranswered…1yr1Y

Increase but the money should better spent on quality equipment for soldiers and contracts need to be under all kinds of scrutiny.

 @9Q3TS92Labouranswered…9mos9MO

Decrease - we should become a defence only military and put that money towards education, health and other services

 @93SY82Manswered…3yrs3Y

Any increase in funding should only be directed towards ‘future proofing’ our military. Intelligence, anti-hacking capabilities, digital protections of infrastructure etc.

 @93NPBQJanswered…3yrs3Y

Increase, with specific focus on increasing the number of military personnel, Naval fleet size and cyber warfare.

 @8YGGHN7answered…3yrs3Y

Actual amount should remain the same. There desperately needs to be a defence review and the introduction of a defence plan instead. Currently, money is wasted on poor procurement practises party as a result of a lack of strategy. Prioritise the Navy and Airforce.

 @8TVB3D3answered…4yrs4Y

Increase for certain types of spending (e.g. cyber security), decrease for others (aggression).

 @9CWBDL8Liberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

Increase, and use their strategic logistical expertise more in times of crisis.

 @9C2BTW8Labouranswered…2yrs2Y

Increase but but with a proportoon of the total going to wages, welfare, buildings and infrastructure, kits and provisions.

 @9BT2Q6Panswered…2yrs2Y

Increase as long as we can separate ourselves from hawkish American foreign policy

 @98HTRYVanswered…2yrs2Y

Increase, but focus military roles on National Services such as supporting the NHS or working alongside Emergency Services

 @8XV3XH5answered…3yrs3Y

Military funding towards redundant technologies such as carriers should be completely slashed.

 @8X8J9K8answered…3yrs3Y

increase spending on infantry equipment and mental health support programs

 @8SMN8D6Conservativeanswered…4yrs4Y

Satisfied with current spending but improve efficiency of spending (in all of public sector)

 @8S3RZG2answered…4yrs4Y

Increase, but focus on the prevention of HR violations such as the millions detained, abused or killed in china in the past year alone.

 @8S2GKKCanswered…4yrs4Y

Spend the money that Trident would cost to look after those who serve in the forces properly.

 @8RP4VYWanswered…4yrs4Y

Decrease and divert the spending to the NHS and public services instead

 @8PMCFYHanswered…4yrs4Y

Neither, better management of resources which are allocated to the military

 @8Q4BM45answered…4yrs4Y

Dependant on the threat. Should be relative to having a well functioning and equipped military without funding unnecessary projects/wasting money in peacetime

 @8Q3NCV2Labouranswered…4yrs4Y

Change responsibilities and where soldiers are being sent/ what they are doing. Use to create positive change rather than war. Rebuilding countries assisting UK in global pandemic
