Look ahead 10 years and identify those areas of UK business lacking skilled workers... offer proportional work visas to those on short-medium-longer term based on UK need and value to the economy

We should encourage companies to take on the Uk university graduates who at the minute are all struggling to find jobs regardless of their degree type. Their education has been paid for, it should be put to use.

The government should maintain the current levels to maintain sufficient for our needs whilst increasing training opportunities for our own youngsters to eventually reduce our reliance on immigration

There should be more government incentive for tuition and training positions for English nationals especially in regard to the councils, schools, NHS and other somewhat public services

We should issue the number required to plug skills gaps: not increase or decrease for political reasons.
@9J2R3HT1yr1Y
Temporary work visas should be decided upon requirements and be on an ongoing recomendation and should not be a fixed service requirement or skill set

@8Q4DY7N4yrs4Y
Look at the pool of candidates from the UK first. If migrants are still higher qualified then go for it
@8Q3ZGDR4yrs4Y
Build more incentive for high skilled workers to stay in the country especially the NHS rather than them getting qualifications and moving to other countries to work
@99BNR9W2yrs2Y
Decrease, companies are currently exploiting this program to decrease wages and the government should provide more incentives to prepare our citizens for these jobs
@98LNFJV2yrs2Y
Increase for skilled. Reduce unskilled
@9799GD72yrs2Y
Yes but only for white-European immigrants from countries such as Poland. Also increase the number for white immigrants from places such as Canada and the U.S.
@8QJ78BL4yrs4Y
Only when coming to work in the NHS
