To secure a skilled worker visa, people have to qualify for 70 points. Having a job offer from an approved employer for a skilled job and being able to speak English will give 50 points. The applicant can achieve the remaining 20 points if they are due to be paid at least £25,600 a year. They can also gain extra points for having better qualifications (10 points for a relevant…

Increase, the current rules of skilled worker visa does not make for low wages and these workers are necessary to build the economy

There is not a black and white answer to this. We shouldn't be hiring people from other countries at a lower cost, and what counts as a skilled worker is very limited. Caring work requires highly skilled people but it is poorly paid.

Increase, to support current pressures. However a long term plan would be to retain recruitment and training here for long term benefit. Aka nhs training

We should have our own skilled workers but if we need to take on those from abroad we cannot put a specific number.

I'd say both Increase and decrease. Increase the amount of skilled workers visas but monitor them and issue penalties to companies exploiting this. But also decrease it and help our own citizens become more prepared for these skilled positions.

Incentivise these job roles to British people particularly young people. If we still have the need only then increase the visas
Remove necessity for visas. Open borders.

The system as a whole is cinister and we need a Nationalist revolution for the working man!

Not particularly got an idea on this one, but they should be payed more to be on the same level as their British citizen counterparts
@8SNT6VF4yrs4Y
Increase as long as they are paid the same wage as UK workers
@8Q8RKZQ4yrs4Y
they should increase them and not just to skilled people
@8NVKH8X4yrs4Y
Should increase the amount of jobs classed as high skilled
The visa issued should reflect the needs of our economy. Domestic workforce should be used where possible but if we do not have the skills then foreign workers should be used.
@9C53VP82yrs2Y
It shouldn’t matter whether you’re an immigrant or not. If you have the skills needed, you should get that job.
@9BB8JXKWomen's Equality2yrs2Y
the wages should be equivalent to British workers average wage in the same role, and it should only be used in roles where either we are desperately short or Brits won't do the job
@99GJKQS2yrs2Y
Yes, I wish the Uk would implement a structure similar to Australia in terms of work visas and checks
@9987Y9N2yrs2Y
increase but prevent employers from paying low wages
@97468M92yrs2Y
Don't have people reliant on short-term visas for their economic security
