To secure a skilled worker visa, people have to qualify for 70 points. Having a job offer from an approved employer for a skilled job and being able to speak English will give 50 points. We do not need more doctors from foreign countries. We need to improve things for people wanting to be doctors in this country. No one wants to be a doctor because it’s terrible pay for long hours.

Why we are hiring skilled resources from other countries when our unemployment rate is too high is baffling. We should invest in our people and train them. It should not be aceptable to refuse a job and claim benefits if you are able to do it.

We’d be better investing in our own people and training and educating them instead of having to ship people in.

I think we should look at bringing more of these high skilled workers in on longer term visas to contribute to the country, short term can then leave gaps which are harder to fill. Also do more to prepare British citizens for these jobs - better education at young age

If the individual qualifies then should be given a work visa. The qualification should be be of a high standard.

Increase/decrease the amount of work visas based on the job demand in the uk for both high-skilled and low-skilled jobs. Fill demand but don’t let people not work if they are able to generate an income
I think it should be based on at the time if we need high skilled immigrant workers instead of just a fixed number

Increase, but only in sectors where the British economy is lacking in excess employment. Inviting experts to teach future generations is also important.

I think immigrant workers should be given more opportunities to permanently settle in the UK
