I think the railway is a natural monopoly and hence should be nationalized, but should be the only industry nationalized

The franchise licence should be linked directly to the level of service. Below certain threshold the licence should be revoked.

If done properly, privatisation could be effective but if done poorly then it wold be better to stay government controlled.
