No, it will cost a lot of money which should be put towards public transport, which is more economically and environmentally efficient.

Electric vehicles are not environmentally friendly as they purport, it will be overtaken in the near future by a better option making them obsolete

Electric vehicles are not sustainable. Their production is environmentally unfriendly, they rely on lithium mines and most of their energy come from fossil fuels.

EVs only move emissions up the supply chain, and also don't solve any other problems related to cars

The future of the world economy will be green/sustainable and rolling out EV charging stations will ensure that the UK keeps up the rest of the world and encourages the uptake of EVs

Electric Vehicles, in my opinion, will be environmentally damaging due to the emissions required in constructing the battery and then the potential damage to the soil and water after the battery is used. As well, EVs won't fix congestion issues that also add emissions into the atmosphere and society would be better off, in my view, with fewer cars on the road with public transit, walking and cycling encouraged. This can be achieved by using LTNs and converting cities (mainly the biggest UK cities) into 15 minute cities.

Electric cars are not a long term solution as the carbon expenditure in merely producing the batteries is inherently worse for the environment that the alternatives

Majority of people do not own electric cars- unnecessary spending to push environmental restrictions further down the line

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations would cause Parliament to spend unnecessarily on the wrong resources when those funds could be used for improving the resources that have already been proven to work in the UK, especially when related to infrastructure.
