No because activists like just stop oil and Greta Thunberg have ruined a generation of kids

 @9HC9HNRanswered…1yr1Y

yes because it will teach them about the issues that are going on in the world and they can help out

 @9QPRNPHGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, they should. They should care about the world they live in and be allowed to express they’re opinion

 @9QPCDVRanswered…10mos10MO

Encourage is the wrong word, noone should be encouraged but they should be free to act if they feel it is right to do so

 @9QM23NYanswered…10mos10MO

They should be encouraged to research and educate THEMSELVES on issues - and not necessarily those pushed onto them by teachers or guardians.

Too many iPad kids that can install mods on fortnite and create tik-toks but can’t write or sit in a public place without headphones on and actually talk to people

i think yes, it gives them a voice and could possibly help shape future policies.

 @9QKPHHWanswered…10mos10MO

I think it is good for students to be heard and to form opinions from a young age.

 @9QJZ97C answered…10mos10MO

Yes, if it's something they are passionate about and have an interest in. Why not?

 @9QJL8CWanswered…10mos10MO

No, joining a cause just because someone you know has, is damaging to the original cause

 @9QHLGCBanswered…10mos10MO

It will help children develop a greater sense of self and greater understanding of things that they value and don't value, and hopefully make them become more empathetic people.

 @9QHHTGWanswered…10mos10MO

 @9QHGYRWConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

Yes because it gives them a view and educates them so they can influence the world for the better.

 @9QH5TS2Liberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

They should be allowed to participate, however not encouraged. Students are some of the loudest voices when it comes to activism, however it's my belief that they are also the most vulnerable and susceptible to persuasion and 'herd mentality' which can lead to disruption in terms of activism. It is good practise for them to exercise their views, however there is every chance that these will change as they continue their education and self-development.

 @9QGT8NNanswered…10mos10MO

yes and no it depends on the parents decaision but children should definalty take part in sport from a young age

 @9QGHV4Janswered…10mos10MO

Yes - I believe a more politically engaged society is better for the society as a whole.

 @9QFTHVHLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

 @9QFBJHSanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, we need to exercise our right to protest and fight for what we believe in.

 @9Q8LHPRanswered…10mos10MO

They should because it’s important to understand the way the law and politics work.

 @9Q8L9T4answered…10mos10MO

Yes, I think it's something that should be talked about more in schools as many young people are not educated around politics and should understand the importance of exercising their right to vote

 @9Q7TKK2answered…10mos10MO

Yes, because it teaches them that they need to stand up for what is right and that their voice matters.

 @9Q7C898answered…10mos10MO

it is important to teach kids things from an early age before they have developed so that they can make their decisions and opinions on topic better without biased info.

 @9Q6ZHF7 answered…10mos10MO

Students should be able to peacefully protest as this is sometimes the only way to be heard.

 @9Q6R78SLabouranswered…10mos10MO

They should be educated on subjects and be able to form and share opinions but I don’t think anybody should be swayed either way so long as they know they have choices

 @9Q6926Nanswered…10mos10MO

No, they are vulnerable and many don't know who they are and can be brainwashed.

 @9PZBRXKanswered…10mos10MO

No I think they should wait till the old enough to understand what they are doing. if not your just brain washing people who have no idea what they doing and just following the person infront of them.

 @9PXCXWNanswered…10mos10MO

Not necessarily no. I think ideologies need to be explored and discusses but education is there to educate, not indoctrinate. If they want to then that’s up to them.

 @9PRCP86answered…10mos10MO

While there is still the need for activism, young people will be out there. There’s no “should” - they are.

 @9PNZKJManswered…10mos10MO

Yes. Builds character and advances causes, should be encouraged to do it right for right ends

 @9PNZKJManswered…10mos10MO

Yes, it builds character and can foster change, they should however be taught and encouraged to do it in a productive manner and for a good cause, but even if they do it in a poor manner for a poor cause it’s still their right to do so

 @9PFXMKHanswered…10mos10MO

 @9Q55MGKanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, universities have historically been known as places of political activism so there is no reason we should not encourage them.

 @9PRVKZYanswered…10mos10MO

Everyone should be socially active, at least voting and working to improve the nation, whatever their opinions or beliefs are.
