Capitalism, by design, benefits those at the very top by exploiting the labour of workers. It naturally incentives paying workers as little as possible in order to maximise profit, and as business get bigger and become oligopolies they can work with each other to ensure wages stay down and competition is stifled.

I think it benefits society but much more needs to be done to raise opportunities, education and safely for wvery citizen to thrive.
@9Q6T5K99mos9MO
Wealth created is fantastic but unfortunately many of the elite are greedy and prioritise profit over larger social concerns
@9PRSWZY 9mos9MO
Capitalism has created greed beyond our comprehension. No one should have wealth/assets that exceeds 8 figures
@9PRR9BP9mos9MO
I believe capitalism is individualistic and is rigged to favour the wealthy while family’s and people living in poverty are the ones who suffer from its callousness
@9PRQX539mos9MO
The evidence shows it benefits the few more than the many. The classic 1% owning most the wealth shows us that. There are no ethical billionaires, there is no reason billionaires should exist especially when we have people living in poverty and working hard for their next meal.

Yes capitalism has increased the quality of life for all. Like any system there will be those that exploit it. There is a social responsibility for those with immense wealth to help support their economy through taxes and charitable contributions.

I feel that western society has had a massive increase in quality of life due to capitalism however I think there are those who exploit it and this can cause poverty for others. There is a responsibility for those with immense wealth to help support their economy through taxes and charitable contributions not by evading taxes through loopholes (cough cough politicians and multinational corporations).
@9PGJHS610mos10MO
capitalism benefits everyone. however capitalism can easily fall into corporatism where monopolies develop who can easily dictate the prices of their products and ultimately the values and culture of their industry. which means that capitalism needs good, fair, regulation to stop corporatism from developing. we currently live under corporatism instead of capitalism.
@9PGCXYY10mos10MO
Capitalism is exploitation of the masses by the ruling classes.
@9H9DYRQConservative1yr1Y
The 1% of the super rich in comparison to the 99% of the population.
@9QDTFHV9mos9MO
no. Trickle down doesn't work. Wages don't go up in accordance to cost of living.
@9QDM24W9mos9MO
It can create competitive businesses and can in fact help economically while also providing more product to the public. However it does benefit the higher wage percentage of people in terms of wealth.
@9PVLC6TWorkers of Britain9mos9MO
A select few. You can’t have capital without exploitation
No, it just gets hoarded in off shore bank accounts.
@9PPD82D10mos10MO
Capitalism does not benefit society. It is so set on income that does not see people needs
@9PVLHXBConservative9mos9MO
I think it benefits as a whole, if you continue to tax wealth, what people seem to forget is that England is not the only country and people can always leave. When people with wealth stay as well as their investments, jobs and etc are created.
