I would love to see a world in which war is obsolete but those in power desire to stay in power - war is a tool for this.
Many economies stay afloat with the selling of weapons. Politicians - especially those in cabinet - usually end up with shares in the weapon industry. They follow the money. Career politicians feathering their nests.
