I only agree with the statement if you take the statement to mean that we should protect our armed forces

I am deeply troubled by the continued cuts to military spending. Especially in our new world, we should be throwing more money at the armed forces. However, economically, mercantilism does not work and I do strongly believe that economic growth only occurs when globalisation is functioning and we are partaking in it
