We should all have somewhere safe and affordable to live. Let's take those who work and are on zero hour contract for example, they should not be worried about housing as they are doing their part but they are being shafted by not having somewhere affordable to live. We all deserve to have a stable and loving place to live and grow but if you are constantly worried about how you will afford it no matter if you are on zero hours or not, that is going to put extra strain on you, your family, your relationships, children's upbringing etc. It's all a domino effect and the houses we do have where more than one family are having to live right now are not big enough.

One of the greatest benefits for individuals or families is secure accommodation. The government has the power and money to make this possible - the market will not do this alone.

You never know when poverty or low income night effect you eg from loosing a job or poor health. You would wish then that there was affordable housing available. Whether it be you or your family.

Having a home is a right we all earn through working and paying taxes I the country we live. Having a home shouldn’t be restricted to the capital rich.

A country with good housing provision is more prosperous and innovative. Even people who can say "I got mine" suffer from the national degradation of housing. You want to live in a neighbourhood where nobody is struggling, that is a safer place to live.

Everybody needs a place to live and the more people that are housed the better they will contribute to society.

Good housing supports a healthy society and an efficient, prosperous economy. Housing is a basic human right.
