There are 275 conservative peers, 172 labour peers and 79 Liberal Democrat peers, 12 from other parties, 2 independents, 38 non affiliated members and 181 cross bench members as we speak. That’s a total of 759 lords which is an outrageously large amount for a second chamber
Another thing is that there are still 92 hereditry peers including 42 conservatives and David Cameron had a peerage appointence count of around 40.5 per year from 2010 to 2016 which is the highest figure of any post war priminister
