It's about time they’re increasing disability benefits, but we still need to push for a system where people with disabilities don’t have to struggle just to get by. This is a step in the right direction, but we need more comprehensive support that values dignity over bare minimum adjustments.

It’s about time they increased disability benefits – people with disabilities have been struggling with rising costs for too long. Hopefully, this is just the start of more comprehensive support for vulnerable groups who need it most.

DWP to increase PIP and DLA payments - here are the new amounts

PIP and DLA all have estimated weekly rates shown. Most benefits are paid every four weeks, so to calculate your own uplift, simply find your award rate and multiply by four: Standard: £73.90 (from £72.65) Enhanced: £110.40 (from £108.55)
