Shrinkflation isn’t harmless—it’s less transparent inflation.
Companies reduce size instead of raising prices, which hides the real cost increase. Most shoppers don’t check unit prices, so they end up paying more without realising.
That makes it misleading, unfair (especially to low-income shoppers), and damaging to trust—not just normal market behaviour.

It is the responsibility of the producers to ensure that their discerning and pricing are matched and if they want to have inflated or higher prices, the products size must be equal to it.
