I'm in two minds about this
On one side, it's beneficial if you need the flexibility but on the other side, if you're a freelance worker (eg an actor) you need the stability/regular hours to pay the bills whilst auditioning, but then need the flexibility to be able to take an acting job and have a day job to come back to and not be left stranded with no way of paying for day to day living. So maybe it's less of a question of zero hours and more of a question of how flexible employers are - giving enough hours to live your life/having enough money but then having that time to enjoy it too and live your life how you want to.
