Rational Self-Interest is a political and philosophical concept rooted in the idea that individuals are motivated primarily by the pursuit of their own personal advantage or well-being. This ideology posits that people make decisions by weighing the costs and benefits to themselves, seeking to maximize their own utility or happiness.
