Should the British Monarchy be abolished?

Considering the state of the NHS and basically everything else in this country, there are so many other things our taxes could go to. I want my taxes to fund housing, the NHS, benefits etc etc. I want to help the underprivileged of our society, I don't want to watch the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
