On Thursday, a 30-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder after a toddler was thrown into a crocodile enclosure at a Cambridgeshire zoo.
The three-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries after being attacked by at least one predator inside the pit at Johnsons of Old Hurst farm. The zoo owner’s wife reportedly saved the child's life by jumping 15 feet into the enclosure to pull him away from the animals. Authorities confirmed the suspect was a stranger to the boy and was visiting the park as part of a supervised group for adults with learning disabilities.
The suspect has since been released on bail after medical professionals deemed him mentally unfit for a formal police interview.
