Maybe because they could be talking about something that the country has no idea about and important conversations could be held which the public would probably want to know about. It’s our future too.

No, as there may be privacy issues and it could be a social meeting. However tough penalties should be imposed where evidence may be demonstrated that preferential treatment or other business related communication has been engaged in without suitable reference.
