Increase, it's more important to have the best and brightest supporting our country and economy than to worry about their country of origin

 @9QTTF8GLiberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

Decrease them, which would allow citizens to get jobs which would overall limit immigration and increase employment within the country, make skilled workers out of your own citizens without exploiting people from other countries for the low wage.

 @9QK8XSDGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Immigration shouldn't be used by the government or companies as a means of avoiding training and developing people in this country.

 @9Q7M2K7Liberal Democratanswered…9mos9MO

As above - we shouldn’t only be allowing skilled workers into the uk? We need unskilled labour as well

 @9Q4X3NVSNPanswered…9mos9MO

It is sad to see that the country is not able to train high-skilled workers and that we are need to get them from another country.

 @9PYZXCKGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Increase, but more emphasis on legislations on protecting immigrant workers from exploitation by UK companies.

 @9PXQQ6FGreenanswered…9mos9MO

I want less skilled immigrants to be allowed in, the backbone of society has been built in this. However it has allowed lower wages with i hate.

 @9PXN92CGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Increase, but ensure that companies are not continuing to take advantage of this program to decrease wages

 @9P7K8KVLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

The UK should invest in education both broadly and narrowly to these high skilled jobs, amd now should continue letting people move here and share their skills

 @9P6H6LXLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

Business needs should help to set targets but also more money should be put into smiling own workers.

 @9NJKSW2Greenanswered…10mos10MO

Increase at the moment to solve labour shortages in areas such as farming, but re-join the EU as a longer term solution. Be guided by need, not dog-whistle politics.

 @9NJBFRVGreenanswered…10mos10MO

They should be offered visas that are not temporary, so they can have more security in their position in this country should they choose to live here

 @9ND85TKGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Decrease, high-skilled immigrant workers should be offered permanent work visas to prevent exploitation

 @9NCP5SFGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Neither increase or decrease. But more incentives and skilled apprenticeships should be provided for.

 @9NCFRVPLiberal Democrat answered…10mos10MO

Difficult to decide as we are taking high skilled workers away from third world countries. However if immigrants want to move & work in the UK they should be able to.

 @9N56R9LGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Increase, but make it harder for companies to to advantage or exploit the program. People should be paid fairly.

 @9N3BGRVGreen answered…10mos10MO

Increase where there are not enough uk workers available for the demand, but increase the incentive for UK citizens to train for those professions

 @9M2LSHMGreenanswered…11mos11MO

Increase but introduce a minimum wage for high-skilled immigrants so guarantee that they are paid fairly and keeps the job market competitive for UK workers.

 @9K2J4LSGreenanswered…1yr1Y

we should not discriminate which immigrants are welcomed, based on their skill level. All are in need of refuge

 @9JC32GWGreenanswered…1yr1Y

The position should have the same pay no matter who is applying for it, a current citizen or an immigrant

 @9HPQ74NGreenanswered…1yr1Y

Increase, but have incentives to prepare our citizens for these jobs, too, and don't allow lower wages to be paid than the legal minimum purely for immigrant workers.

 @9HJ5YWLGreenanswered…1yr1Y

Instead of temporary work visas, encourage highly immigrants to stay for longer to boost our economy

 @9GY5N7TGreenanswered…1yr1Y

It should be flexible to requirements and also humane. A one size fits all system is inhumane and inflexible

 @9Z9KQ6KLiberal Democrat  from Maine  answered…3mos3MO

Keep the current amount, the government should make the legal way of becoming a citizen easier as immigrants are using visas as a way to skip the process who can then be easily exploited due to them becoming illegals when the visas expire

 @9Z9KQ6KLiberal Democrat  from Maine  answered…3mos3MO

Decrease, the government should make the legal way of becoming a citizen easier as immigrants are using visas as a way to skip the process who can then be easily exploited due to them becoming illegals when the visas expire

 @9QPMB2VPlaid Cymruanswered…9mos9MO

Increase only where necessary to fill vacancies. In the longer term match training here to fill vacancies- with no tuition fees

 @9NLVJBJGreenanswered…10mos10MO

It should be on a case by case basis and depend on whether a citizen can do the same job just as good or not

 @9MYTYNGGreenanswered…10mos10MO

The visas should not be temporary, if we benefit from a person’s skills they should benefit from being here

 @9M4QMVZLiberal Democratanswered…11mos11MO

Increase, sector-based, e.g. the NHS appears to be in urgent need of high-skilled workers. So based on the business needs schemes that make it easier for certain groups of high-skilled immigrants to enter the UK.

 @9M3YGJCGreenanswered…11mos11MO

Points based immigration system is unfair. Entire system should be overhauled, especially as “lower skilled” jobs are currently most understaffed.

 @9LP935RLiberal Democratanswered…12mos12MO

We should get the best people for the job, but look into why our citizens are not getting them and provide incentives to achieve them

 @9BC77VLLiberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

I am satisfied with the current amount, but work towards decreasing by training citizens for these jobs

 @9B95KGNGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

We should work to prevent companies from taking advantage of this program to decrease wages

 @945K7TRLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

Improve conditions, and focus on education and training for high-skill jobs. Nationality should not be a factor.

 @dandartGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

Increase, as long as the workers are paid the equivalent amount as any equivalent UK worker

 @8Z7QCN5Scottish Greenanswered…3yrs3Y

Increase so long as they are paid a wage befitting their skill and not one which makes them cheap labour.

 @8TBNXG3Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

I am more concerned with raising minimum wage and the quality of work life for the working class. But I still believe that other people from different companies should have full right to work in our country, the issue is employees underpaying them and then quality of work suffers as a result.

 @8QMG9BLLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

The current amount is fine but the government should provide more incentives and invest more into putting our citizens in these jobs.

 @8Q4TL6YLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Do whatever the job market requires. There is also the thought around having more young people living in the country paying taxes = more money to help the people depending on the state helping them i.e. elderly

 @8Q3YWGXGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8Q2LBT8Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

Increase but a British citizen should get first pick at the job where possible

 @8P5NC24Liberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Keep numbers at whatever level they need to be to ensure the success of the economy and society. However the government must do more to increase our own pool of high skill workers

 @8MZMBRKGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

They should be increased amounts of permanent visas for high skilled workers

 @8F74M5ZGreenanswered…5yrs5Y

 @9C99L6YSNPanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9BRYD8WGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

While our economy relies on the hiring of skilled workers from abroad and it is important, therefore to continue this practice, more incentives should also be provided to make jobs more appealing to UK citizens.

 @98PZYPLGreenfrom Ohio  answered…2yrs2Y

Idfk what that is lmao I’m not british and I’m not old enough to get a job

 @988552NLiberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

Increase, but with valid background checks and a once a year check in to see their contribution. In turn, we should be preparing our citizens for these jobs.

 @97MD6RXSNPanswered…2yrs2Y

Decrease, but change temporary to permanent. Immigrants should be provided the same rights to work as UK citizens

 @8ZJ4Y4BLiberal Democratanswered…3yrs3Y

Increased but they shouldn’t be underpaid and paid at the same rate as a British worker with identical skills

 @8NRYFLFLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

I think we should decrease temporary work visas and increase permanent work visas

 @8DYKF8FLiberal Democratanswered…5yrs5Y

Decrease, the lower wages given also negatively impact the lives of already suffering people
