It should be decided by the mother who gave birth of that child if she wants the baby to be adopted by straight or gay!

I believe 100% that YES, THEY SHOULD and out dated, expired human beings that grew up in a completely different time shouldn't have a say on this. Old, straight, homophobic human ish being shouldn't have the right to say whether or not a gay couple is qualified to have children.

Children should have a choice of who they will be adopted by and any person adopting should pass the strictest mental wellbeing tests to ensure child safety.

Lesbian couples should have the same rights as straight couples. As men commit 98% of sexual offences gay male couples should be more thoroughly checked and monitored

This is a tough question. I am all for same sex marriage etc but I think a child would have no control over how they are perceived by other people / children and could result in bullying etc.

Yes, we need more parents for all the children waiting to be adopted. But there is psychological research to suggest heterosexual parents are 'better' for children but I cannot say that is conclusively true and either way, better 2 gay parents than no parents.

Yes, a mother and father family should still be considered the traditional family unit, but homosexual couples, as long as they pass they same tests as male and female couples, should be allowed if there is a shortage of traditional families in the adoption process.

Gay couples should be able to adopt children like any sexual preference. But Male and Female parents will raise more successful children.

Kids need a balance environment to learn to grow up in , being brought up in Adam & Steve or Eve n' Eavy relationships cannot possibly give the child that vital balance in life nor give the children the right message of love & harmony to procreate & keep the u=human race going

 @8T84QPNanswered…4yrs4Y

yes but they cannot force anything on to the child it should be able to choose what it wants

 @8SWTSYQanswered…4yrs4Y

Only if the parents allow them to be adopted or not yet ready to adopt, the child can go to a gay couples if needs be.

 @8SM2FFJanswered…4yrs4Y

Lots of considerations needed not just sexuality, but backgrounds and potential discrimination of child

 @8RGMC9PLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, providing it can be demonstrated that the child is likely to have a similar out-of-home experience (for example at school) as they would if they were to have straight parents.

 @99P4XZHConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

No. I believe a mother father structure is best for the child therfore adoption agencies should prioritize offering to straight couples over gay couples although they should still offer to gay couples

 @96R9X8TGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

All potential parents should be required to attend a course on child development and the roles needed in a child's life regardless of their sexual orientation.

 @97ZVC9HConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

I think that adoption to all straight and gay couples should be banned.

 @97Z8R7HLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as they do not influence the child's decision in any way when it comes to sexuality.

 @8ZWZDRDanswered…3yrs3Y

Gender is a social construct. So is any sexual preference label. People should enjoy sex in whatever form, and not have to distinguish themselves by gender. This question becomes moot.
