No, but the system needs a total revamp. Additionally, the rights of migrants who have already settled in Britain should be secure.
@9HGPB7X1yr1Y
No, but train citizens in jobs and make wages and benefits such that immigrant workers are not so necessary
@9Q5MPWK9mos9MO
The immigration system does not effectively allow people to seek asylum without this we cannot expect to tackle the criminals putting people on boats.
@9M3GGTM11mos11MO
yes we have too many immigrants, yes it could be a lot worse, yes i think we should have less but i don’t want people dying because they can’t get the help or a place to stay
@9JY3MH3 1yr1Y
No, but we do have a problem with finite space and limited countryside/greenfield sites. I believe everyone should be able to live in whichever country they wish, and enjoy the economic benefits, but don't want endless population increase both via birth or immigration.

Immigration adds value through skilled workers filling gaps in jobs BUT we should also be trying to fill those jobs at home first. Employers being able to employ migrants for cheap is exploitative and wrong for many reasons. Refugees is a different, humanitarian issue, it should be easy for refugees to come here.

The processing system needs to be fit for purpose, currently the delays are exaggerated and people are living below the bread line as refugees/asylum seekers.
Even those knowingly entering unlawfully should be treated with respect, a sense of urgency and properly monitored to ensure the outcome of their applications are just and they do not become one of many that disappear into the country.

No, but we should encourage migration to fill gaps in the employment market. Eg. Right now there is a huge deficit of staff in the service industry.

I believe that its best not be naive and evaluating what an immigrants morals, values and beliefs are on important subjects in the UK and if they don't align then they should be put on a programme to help them understand and see if they've made any progress by the end of it, if not they will have to try again and not be allowed to stay in the UK.

A different policy which is actually adhered to would help a lot
We should have an open border policy.
@8RFZGQT4yrs4Y
Open our borders to Immigration completely, Immigrants do not hurt our country, they help it.
Skilled immigrant workers and all immigrant workers have risked their lives to get into this country and do all of the work that regular British people either refuse to do or can’t do
@8RCMQZT4yrs4Y
No, but there should be a programme to help immigrants settle and become productive in the UK.
@8M49LDW4yrs4Y
I feel that we should have system where immigrants don’t get exploited and get the right skilled job.
@9BH2WYTLiberal Democrat2yrs2Y
