Make it easier for skilled workers and refugees fleeing violence, but strictly screen for criminality

 @9SHFX7JReform UKanswered…7mos7MO

The excuse is to "flee war" but most on the boats are men. They should be the ones staying back to fight in the war and woman and children should be the ones on the boats but instead they're left behind, most of the time.

 @9QRBSRLanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but only to ensure the country is not overcrowded and people are treated respectfully and will live a good life once here.

 @9QKTZ6Fanswered…9mos9MO

I believe people in need to flee their country should be able to stay here until their own country is stable.

 @9Q87FQ9answered…9mos9MO

No, but there should be strict checks for criminal backgrounds, and government should invest to improve processing and stop using expensive hotels while applications are processed

 @9Q6PTHBanswered…9mos9MO

Allow local councils to say when they have a need for specified skillsets for their area which they can accommodate.

 @9Q22L2Ganswered…9mos9MO

One policy for the whole of the UK doesn't work. Immigrants should be allowed to apply for jobs to match the differing employment needs of the regions of the UK.

 @9PVP7WWanswered…9mos9MO

Uk clearly has a certain capacity, allow anyone seeking refuge but put them through a training program and then give them a choice to stay and contribute or move to a neighbouring developed country not Africa or rawanda..

 @9PV7WL2answered…9mos9MO

Yes but there needs to be better systems in place to deal with the amount of asylum seekers and refugees to ensure their safety and better ways of protecting these people

 @9PT3XMPanswered…9mos9MO

Immigration does need to be managed however as a percentage of immigrants how many are actually illegal. We do need to process people quicker

 @9PFLTYZanswered…9mos9MO

We should only expect people who have the necessary skills we need of people fleeing for there life’s are in a different category

 @9P2V8SCanswered…10mos10MO

I think asylum and immigration should be handled separately, we should welcome skilled workers and we should offer asylum to those in need but we must make sure that we don’t over populate and that they would like to help in our society where possible

 @9NNBVQ6answered…10mos10MO

we should line up all illegals that arrive on our shores, line them up against the dover cliffs and SHOOT THEM ALL

 @9NMDFVFanswered…10mos10MO

Immigration is a complicated issue which doesn't lend itself to analysis purely on a number in and out basis. Policy doesn't need to be stricter necessarily, but it needs to be better thought out in terms of the impact it has on services etc.

 @9MTMSBDanswered…10mos10MO

They should revoke the citizenship of all the Tories that support the Rwanda policy/have wasted hundreds of millions and send them to Rwanda.

 @9MRGNNNanswered…10mos10MO

Immigration should be assessed on the need of the respective sectors that require workforce increases and the availability of the country to accommodate.

 @9LSPHL4answered…11mos11MO

remove the immigration process. You’re here, you’ve seen what it’s like and you still want to stay? That’s the spirit.

 @9KFY6RRanswered…1yr1Y

The whole process needs overhauled to suit the state of the world as it. A case by case basis needs to happen

 @9K9JRZJSNPanswered…1yr1Y

European countries should be allowed on work, Refugees should be allowed if children & women, or family’s

 @9K2WQV7answered…1yr1Y

Refugees welcome but immigrants come to the UK from none war countries don’t get benefits for at less two years.

 @9PQ4Q6Janswered…9mos9MO

Yes but increase the staff and resourcing in this area, especially for refugees. Add more safe routes for refugees but make recourse to public funds impossible for non-refugees until they become citizens.

 @9PLMTK9Greenanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but process should be improved, simplified and sped up for all, including refugees and skilled workers

 @9NFMHR3Conservativeanswered…10mos10MO

No, people should be encouraged to come to work, but it should be harder to gain citizenship and/or access benefits

 @9NB4LG6answered…10mos10MO

Immigration policy has become too politicized and the focus needs to be on funding processing capacity with an emphasis on refugee claims and skilled workers before any policy reforms can be considered.

 @9L4RPNZanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, until human rights issues can be resolved and the process can be streamlined to reduce wait times and cost.

 @9HZVWQYanswered…1yr1Y

No change. Make it easier for skilled workers, families seeking education. Make sure they are being productive.

 @9HNHB47answered…1yr1Y

Yes It needs to be more than just work capability , culture and social norms need to be addressed too the numbers are less important save for flow control.

 @9GYG66Tanswered…1yr1Y

Yes and no. System must be more effective, however, it is wrong to deport migrants fleeing from war-torn countries.

 @9FKMD47answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, immigrants should only be able to come to the country legally and through the appropriate channels and if they have something to benefit the country

 @9MBFK4Banswered…11mos11MO

Stricter immigration laws to lower down mass immigration, prevent illegal immigrants coming into the border but allow legal immigrants to come like skilled workers and people who posses visas and other immigration paperwork and also for them to come in small numbers.

 @9PQQCHRanswered…9mos9MO

no they should help these people by making an organization to help these people from dangerous countries or war zones. these people start a new life in our country or another country with the government of said countries permission.

but if the individual has a criminal background then no but if they have a family or a willing to change and disown the Dangerous their criminal background then yes they are allowed to come in but they will have to go and get rehabilitated and maybe start a new career and left they have the skills a city or town needs

after that you can start a whole new life...

 @954Q2FTanswered…3yrs3Y

Let in Those who are fleeing war stricken countries or are coming to better their lives

 @943LDQManswered…3yrs3Y

If we are going to ban good and useful new citizens from entering then we should be allowed to export useless unhelpful ones

 @92QGKZKanswered…3yrs3Y

Allow unskilled workers for occupations that are not being filled by UK Citizens

 @92NX2XDanswered…3yrs3Y

No, but the immigrants need to be spread out across the UK more, to Scotland for example as London is crowded.

 @8XQKR77answered…3yrs3Y

As long as they are sure immigrants will have a better life here and work

 @8VZW94Hanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8SST2LYanswered…4yrs4Y

atm you could say the immigration policy is strict, however ill argue that the process should've made simpler but oversight is essential to stop the very few bad people who want to cause trouble

 @8SNHBZVanswered…4yrs4Y

No but follow up on recent immigrants to see what they did and acknowledge and celebrate those making a positive contribution to society.

 @8SL98GWLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

No, accept anyone who’s not a violent criminal and make sure no immergrants exploit the benefit system

 @8SK3GGTanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but make the process easier for those who pose no threat to the country.

 @8SK2J93Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

No, but make the process easier for skilled workers and strictly screen imigrants for criminal backgrounds.

 @8S86J2ZLiberal Democratanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes for people with criminal records, but it should be easier for refugees and those in genuine need.

 @8RYWM4Manswered…4yrs4Y

No, but the government should ensure that the areas of high migration are given support to make sure local services aren’t overwhelmed

 @8RY9JCRanswered…4yrs4Y

Ensure immigrants are properly vetted but don’t make it harder for people to apply.

 @8QZBR29answered…4yrs4Y

 @9CJFZGFLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

Yes when the country is in a economic crisis and cant support any more people

 @9CDW74Janswered…2yrs2Y

Neutral and based on circumstances, but provide more support and safeguarding

 @9C6LXVKanswered…2yrs2Y

Make it easier for refugees whilst screening out criminals and also increase and encourage skilled workers particularly in areas where they can help country and economy.

 @9B8K4RQanswered…2yrs2Y

Bring in skilled immigrants but stop criminals and unskilled immigrants

 @99SXJK2answered…2yrs2Y

Stricter screen for criminal background and make the process easier for skilled workers

 @99MKVTDanswered…2yrs2Y

The immigration policy for refugees is cruel and insufferable at the moment. This doesn't mean that we should allow all immigrants and refugees but bulking foreigners off to Rawanda is not the way to go. Immigrants, including skilled workers, should be allowed into the country if they have no violent criminal background and can contribute to the country. The immigration process needs to be reviewed.

 @998Y6TGConservativeanswered…2yrs2Y

If an immigrant has a violent criminal record the government should be allowed to refuse them

 @95TD79Tanswered…3yrs3Y

I don't necessarily know if we need more boarder control, it certainly seems that in some areas their is less effort than required but overall. So long as we can effectively control immigration than we can loosen or tighten the rules as required.

 @8WZZ7QYanswered…3yrs3Y

Immigration is good when the immigrants culture and ethics align with our British expectations, immigration should factor in not only a person's skill set but their ease of integration into the country. There are big issues with segregated communities within larger British cities that have created bigger social problems.

 @8SM3D3KLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but make process easier for skilled workers and have better screening

 @8SGV5J8answered…4yrs4Y

No, this country needs people but the immigration policy needs huge improvement with efficient screening out of individuals with serious criminal records within the previous 10 years.

 @99GBJMNanswered…2yrs2Y

 @99FNZZVanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, basic English language requirements and more appropriate cultural education on rights and discrimination should be mandatory
