No, but reform the immigration ministry into a more efficient governing body in terms of asylum claims and background checks.
@9QJSMW89mos9MO
Yes but make the process easier for skilled workers and those seeking asylum from e.g. war so they are not putting their life in danger
@9QJNWN29mos9MO
No, keep it as it is however find an alternative to Rwanda and find means to upskill your current immigrants alongside UK citizens so that they are encouraged to contribute to the society

More immigration of both skilled and unskilled labour is required for economic growth, but strong controls should be exercised over the background of migrants, for example no convicted criminals should be permitted to emigrate to this country. We should moreover have a properly functioning system for processing applications by refugees and legal routes for entering the UK as a refugee, in which circumstances it is entirely fair and reasonable to remove people arriving on boats to an offshore processing centre (but only for the purposes of processing - not as a permanent destination as the Rwanda Plan requires).
They should have a stricter policy for illegal immigrants to prevent the crossing of the channel which is dangerous, but continue to support refugees and legal immigrants who apply to live in the UK

accept ppl who are escaping from war or any other bad similar stuff like refugees and/or people who would like to move here with the intention of being a good civilian, don't accept violent people
@9Q5S3B99mos9MO
I think we should have safe routes for asylum seekers and allow them to work whilst their claim is assessed
@9PZNSM39mos9MO
If we can afford to look after them , let them come but not if we can't take proper care , they should all be verified on arrival also ,
No, but monitoring should be stricter. More regular reviews and immigrants judged on how much they are benefitting or being a drain on the country
@9PV6MQ69mos9MO
The system needs to be easier for refugees and skilled workers but all should be screened for criminal backgrounds
@9PRZ4MK9mos9MO
I think immigration should be regulated and managed but that we shouldn’t strive for a nation that is discriminatory and will not accept asylum seekers
It should be less strict for refugees escaping war zones and we should not be dumping them on islands. We should be helping them.
@9P29WRN10mos10MO
make it easier to get skilled workers but regularly review recent immgrants to ensure they have become productive citizens
The policy should be to allow immigration to fill shortages while taking steps to promote the training of residents and the attractiveness of jobs.
@9NJGC6310mos10MO
Yes, but make the process easier for skilled workers, while still fulfilling moral obligations to help refugees without burdening the country by taking too many.
Faster processing of asylum seekers, better training for home grown and penalties/ incentives for employers who employ and train young people
@9NHZ32XConservative10mos10MO
No, but improve the processing of applicants and make sure those that are rejected leave the country.
@9QWG4489mos9MO
Yes and now. Make the process easier for refugees, enact policy that encourages immigration in areas where there is a skills shortage.
@9PQ7JGT9mos9MO
There need to be better support, more competent Home Office civil servents, better routes for immigration and a focus on disrupting the people smugglers as well as better security of ports; local coastline - but a more compassionate approach then the Tories
@9PLFBG59mos9MO
No, but the system needs a total revamp. Also and importantly, the rights of migrants who have already settled in Britain should be secure.
@9PK5KHT9mos9MO
It's important to assure we have the infrastructure to manage the influx. We don't just need to consider the people qualities
@9PH8LVL9mos9MO
immigrants should be welcomed, however, the amount should be controlled, unlike in the last few years.
@9P9VRV310mos10MO
Yes, but make the process easier for skilled workers and prioritise families. It should also be easier for skilled workers to stay in the UK if they choose to.
@9NWNN3610mos10MO
Yes but make the process easier for skiller workers, strictly screen for criminal backgrounds, regularly review immigrants to ensure they have become productive citizens and
@9PM5DJD9mos9MO
Make a distinction between refugees and economic migration. Show mercy to those in danger and facilitate those who bring vital skills
@9PBQ78S10mos10MO
Yes, but make the department that deals with screening more efficient and faster, and to make it easier for skilled workers and refugees.
@9PMBCBN9mos9MO
Yes, immigrants should have to make greater means-tested contributions to social and public services they are accessing for the first 10 years.
@9PGJ5Z69mos9MO
Yes, especially to illegal immigration, completely get rid of illegal immigration. For legal immigration, put a constant cap per month so that we can afford to keep the legal immigrants - legal immigrants are vital for British jobs and generates tax income.
