Immigrants with a criminal background should be reviewed and processed differently to those who do not, there should be a clearer policy for those who do arrive with the intent to seek asylum, meaning that they should know where to go and what to do to have a more welcoming and clear entrance to the country
@9Q3WL6R9mos9MO
No, not for skills-based immigration, but do invest the right amount to process asylum seekers' claims rapidly according to the rules of the day
@9P58SF310mos10MO
Yes, but we need to find good international policy to make the world safer so that people don't want to leave. Get DFID back, and be more outward focussed

Immigration/emigration is a complicated issue and far more nuanced than these statements will allow for. A thriving country should allow for the movement of skilled/productive workers through immigration/emigration whilst having the ability to screen for criminals. Most refugees seek refuge in countries close to their home and should not be treated as criminals.
@9PJHJML9mos9MO
We need skilled workers who want to be u. The UK, a limited number of refugees per year but provided they are in grave danger and without other alternatives, and screen out criminals or keep monitor of those with potential criminal behaviours and past

Actually having a holistic plan that supports post-visa take into account the labour forces the country needs and support for refugees instead of just sending them away.

Too much focus is put on "stop the boats" and no one seems to care about the legal routes into the country and how much of a mess that it. For me, it's not about being stricter it's about being more structured, straight=forward, and logical
@92VS4L93yrs3Y
Its alright now to be honest
@92FCXB93yrs3Y
Immigration from war zones and areas of mass repression should be more accessible
@8W5DS8Y3yrs3Y
Make it stricter in checking criminal records, easier for refugees/those who are in danger elsewhere
@9BVZ9QV2yrs2Y
make it easier for skilled workers however for anyone who enters the country with no qualifications or work lined up, regularly review them to ensure they are becoming productive citizens. however, if it is too difficult for them to enter the country vulnerable immigrants or refugees could be at risk.
@98478FB2yrs2Y
Immigrant should be asessed on their need to enter the country ( a good enough reason )
