Yes, but better fund health and social care and higher education so they aren’t dependent on people coming from overseas

Not necessarily stricter, but yes to better vetting for criminals and post checks. A points system for skilled workers. There would be less immigration if there wasn't so much hardship at home, improve world poverty

Immigrants should be allowed in based on an assessment of cultural values. Those with values contrary to western, egalitarian values should not be allowed in.

Stricter, not necessarily. But a points-based meritocracy so that we're striving towards immigration providing a net increase in skills, etc.

 @9NNDXQBanswered…10mos10MO

No - it needs to be easier and quicker for both legal immigrants and refugees. Only illegal immigrants would be using unsafe (criminal) routes.

I think this issue needs a mature, non sensationalist debate with more understanding needed of the positives of immigration

With the way housing is currently. More people make the demand for houses go up. It's just another fuel to the house price fire.

Only allow migrants in desperate need ie Ukrainian and Afghan refugees, limit others where there isn't sufficient to infrastructure

We should try and refuge people seeking a life away from war, but the UK May not be the best country for them, but the country they are redirected to should actually be safe and allow refugees

We need a more competent immigration process. Not really concerned with immigration numbers and it’s unfortunate how it sways voters so much. We need skilled workers but this should not be linked to an unreasonable income threshold.

 @9BNH4FQanswered…2yrs2Y

No, we should encourage skilled and productive immigrants but we shouldn’t allow them to go onto benefits unless they are a citizen.

 @9BNGWKVLabouranswered…2yrs2Y

We should encourage those who are skilled and help those without skills to become productive members of society

 @9C29P4Xanswered…2yrs2Y

No, and we should increase incentives for immigrants to come here to work.

 @9B4DP6Tanswered…2yrs2Y

No, the current policy is sufficient and make the process easier for skilled workers.

 @99L5MM7answered…2yrs2Y

We need a strict policy without loopholes where applicants are assessed quickly and deported quickly when necessary, but we should also have a more open policy for those in actual need. Current policy encourages uncontrolled immigration

 @8Q2KWDQanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, making the process easier to accept skilled workers and there should be a regular review to determine whether they have become productive until 5 year residency or Citizenship is obtained.

 @98JYJRLanswered…2yrs2Y

A points based immigration system would be better than the current one - where immigrants who supply capacity for the skills shortages we have are prioritised. But we should ensure that we provide safe haven for those fleeing war/ persecution.
