The process is very difficult for refugees currently and I do not agree with labour's view on this. I don't agree though that immigration policies should be relaxed in the sense of screening individuals for criminal backgrounds as this should be done
@9M22DYH11mos11MO
I don't think it matters what the policy is. If people need to migrate legally or illegally due to war etc. they will
@B253NL34mos4MO
Yes, screen immigrants for a criminal background and have harsh deportation laws but make the process easier for regugees
@9NVVYYT10mos10MO
Make it easier for those from the US, Canada or Australia. No work visas or being sponsored and try to get reciprocal arrangements

Immigration policy should encourage immigrants who have needed skills. We also have a social obligation to help people from war torn countries. Immigration policies for non skilled workers should be aligned with other European countries.

I think we the public are sold a line that immigrants that come to the UK are self serving and do not want to work but the reality all around us is that immigrants from certain backgrounds thrive more than others do. My reservation in stating NO is that there are frequent clashes and hostility towards immigrants and I would hesitate to invite someone to a country where there would be issues for them.

Yes but not for EU citizens however increase deportation for any illegal and sign more extradition agreements with countries to deport these people faster
@9FYPR3P1yr1Y
Yes change the immigration system. For small boat crossings impose mandatory detention (except asylum seekers) and for legal migrants impose offshore processing
@95YLM8H3yrs3Y
Yes, but do not discriminate against any immigrants for any reason
@95PKJLC3yrs3Y
Not necessarily make it stricter, but focus on immigrants who are skilled workers
@93TH9NK3yrs3Y
There should be easier immigration for those coming to help work temporary jobs or jobs/industries where there are staffing challenges
@9CB3NFX2yrs2Y
Yes, but accept that government has very little control over economic migration and underinvestment in aid programmes fuels economic migration
@9BJNJBC2yrs2Y
Yes but the government be more lenient to immigrants that come from former British Empire countries
@93SVK6G3yrs3Y
Yes, but make the process easier for workers in high demand sectors
Yes they should but make the process easier for refugees so as long as they are not a danger
