Tackling human trafficking at it's root cause is more important and we should be helping refugees and asylum seekers
@9QHWVXV10mos10MO
Yes, screening for criminal background, but ensure adequate temporary accommodation for refugees, subject to further review.

I think yes, but put better systems in place for employment. We have many vacancies in hospitality that are skilled roles and no one in this country would want to do but people from overseas would

First the Government should HAVE a consistent and humane policy. It should ensure that legal migration is possible. It needs to invest in proper control assessment and regulation. It must enact rules that have appeal and rapid recourse decisions. It must cooperate more closely with other countries to ensure an international accord. Migration is a net benefit to the country culturally and economically. It must cease to be a right wing xenophobic trope for nationalism. Borders are arbitrary at best and all humans are essentially equal in rights. Work from this.

Reduce "unskilled labour so that young people and those nationals can get jobs easier. Bring back trades and manufacturering.
@9HWWBHD1yr1Y
Yes, but only in the sense that it prevents unregistered refugees and illegal immigration into the country. Rather instead, the policies help protect people entering the country, and allows for easier and more controlled integration into our cultures and society.

Whats our country's problem with letting people live in England if they don't come for the UK? its absurd.
@9MZ9JLD11mos11MO

The current system should be better monitored and ensure that asylum seekers are able to access safety. Other countries in Europe should share the responsibility.
@92F4T6L3yrs3Y

The U.K. has left the E.U.
@89KMD5WLibertarian4yrs4Y
Yes, but make the process easier for students who wish to study in the UK.
@rosball220501Labour2yrs2Y
No. The government should ensure immigration routes are safe to access; the government should co-operate with countries such as France to prevent trafficking/smuggling. It is not the immigrant that is the danger/problem, it is the illegal method in which they enter the country which should be resolved. Immigration is beneficial to the economy and to society.
