I believe that immigration is important for our country but must be controlled as letting in too many people can damage the nation. But allow people to enter if they make a promise to contribute and help l. They also deserve free education like all do etc

 @B2LGPP7answered…2mos2MO

No, increase legal migration and use work camps to process illegal while only deporting violent criminals.

 @9RWSQX9answered…8mos8MO

No, re-legislate how border force in the country works to make it easier for people to seek asylum while dealing with the issue externally

 @9QRD4SJLabouranswered…9mos9MO

The government should have an immigration policy that allows asylum for refugees and immigration threat allows economic growth

 @9QH9XLKanswered…9mos9MO

Need to have a system in place where they can benefit from fleeing from their life but not take advantage of the system (eg: claiming benefits then leaving country but still flaming them).

 @9QCYH3Lanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but treat refugees properly according to international law and invest in public infrastructure and services to accommodate immigrants in future

 @9Q7KBQ5Greenanswered…9mos9MO

The concentration in London is too high. But other parts of the UK, e.g Scotland, should welcome more immigration of skilled workers

 @9Q7DCW4answered…9mos9MO

Fine for now as need more doctors/ high skilled workers, but make stricter over time so the uk is not overwhelmed

 @9Q3TS92Labouranswered…9mos9MO

We need better not stricter immigration policies, safer legal routes for refugees, stricter laws on illegal migrants and better ways of combatting people trafficking

 @9Q2LLY6answered…9mos9MO

Stricter screening for economic migrants with no ties to the UK, but easier route for migrants with ties and asylum seekers/refugees after rigorous background check screening.

 @9PRFVDManswered…9mos9MO

Government should make sure public services keep up with level of immigration and make house building easier to accommodate immigration

 @9PFBRTManswered…9mos9MO

No but put a better infrastructure around policing and support once immigrants arrive is needed to prevent them becoming impoverished or criminals

 @9P7GZ8Canswered…10mos10MO

It should be strict but fair and be fit for purpose with sufficient staff and resources to implement the policy

 @9P6LYBDConservativeanswered…10mos10MO

No, the current policies take too long. Skilled workers without criminal records should be prioritised with their close families i.e. children. Criminals should be deported as soon as they have been identified. Illegal immigrants should also be deported as soon as they are found

 @9P675YTanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, make the process easier for needed skilled workers and stricter screening for criminal backgrounds.

 @9P2C7TRanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, but allow people to seek asylum who are from war torn countries but they have a limited amount of time to prove they are a contributor to society and visa's only granted to people who can contribute straight away to our economy.

 @9NZZP4NLiberal Democratanswered…10mos10MO

Not necessarily stricter, but more organised in their approach, i.e not rushing bills that they push for that turn out to be chaotic and damaging to asylum-seekers.

 @9NRN6W7answered…10mos10MO

We should take in asylum seekers and those we need regardless of their pay rate and be more efficient of returning the rest

 @9MXCF7Sanswered…10mos10MO

The Government should get its act together to screen migrants BEFORE they enter the country, making this a fair process so that successful applicants can come here legitimately and be allowed to work. We should not let immigrant housing be run by profit-making companies such as SERCO.

 @9MSJYN9answered…10mos10MO

Yes on illegal immigration. But should in turn improve the process for legal immigrants considerably so that they are processed without delay.

 @9MR7G5Qanswered…10mos10MO

No, They should be proportionate and applications considered on the grounds of merit to the country and

 @9KGZCYHanswered…1yr1Y

No, however there shouldn’t be any benefits paid out. This will eliminate the incentive to come to the country and not work. Immigration is beneficial providing they work.

 @9JZSLDHanswered…1yr1Y

Just properly fund border force and home office to enforce the rules we already have, applications should be time capped

 @9PP6PPRanswered…9mos9MO

No and provide third country processing facilities for refugees to minimise risk of exposure to gangs

 @9PMGZXXanswered…9mos9MO

No but an education system for people staying in asylum hotels and dispersed accommodation should be developed and made compulsory for the Service Users to attend classes. E.g.: ESOL classes, workshops about Life in the UK.

 @9P82RLTanswered…10mos10MO

No, accept anyone that is not a criminal and ensure they become productive part of society (they have a job and oayvtaxes etc). And if the commit felony or reiterated minor crime, be deported

 @9NW5MB9answered…10mos10MO

The government needs to work on removing illegal immigrants and making the system more workable for those who need refuge.

 @9MY76CLanswered…10mos10MO

As long as they haven’t got a criminal record and are checked to make sure they are being productive and helping build the economy

 @9MY2JCPanswered…10mos10MO

Make it easier for refugees, make them legal so it encourages it and then it can be easier to provide help, education and avoid criminals coming in

 @9J8N2JZanswered…1yr1Y

No, we are enriched by skilled immigrants and as a former empire and instigator of industrial revolution are morally obliged to welcome refugees and asylum seekers

 @9HTX4C5answered…1yr1Y

People who are immigrants and have integrated themselves into society and the economy still have to jump through hoops to remain here or get citizenship. We also have one of the stricter refugee policies in Europe and far more resources than other countries this should also change.

 @9HF9SZZanswered…1yr1Y

they should allow all but keep track of whos in and out so they can be a proper citizen and be on record incase they do crime

 @9FGWQJ2answered…2yrs2Y

Not really but just make sure anyone in England will be socially productive no matter where there from

 @9PQSZN7Labouranswered…9mos9MO

Each case should be taken specifically and refugees should be monitored for a select period of time to ensure their safety and progression

 @9PBZCW4answered…10mos10MO

No, but regularly review recent immigrants to see if they have become productive citizens and don’t accept anyone who is a VIOLENT criminal.

 @9M5SRVFanswered…11mos11MO

No - in fact they should make it easier for the reunification of families & not use it as a money making scheme to pay off our debts.

 @9BZ28HXanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but aligned to the skill we need (which doesn’t mean they have to be skilled) and they should be willing to align to UK way of thinking/lifestyle

 @963Q3JZanswered…2yrs2Y

Not allow people to use (abuse) the NHS until they have paid into the system

 @8XCRLHFanswered…3yrs3Y

No because I think we are doing everything we can and I do think that that's why people feel like they will be more safe in our country and why many people keep coming back.

 @8X3TPNQanswered…3yrs3Y

No and make the process easier for skilled workers and those affected by British actions

 @8TZ8NXManswered…4yrs4Y

No, but only allow Non UK Spouses of British Nationals the automatic right to abode and British citizenship to live in the UK.

 @8TNHB63answered…4yrs4Y

No we need to make the policy we have to work better by having a process of screening that works quicker and is accurate most of the time.

 @8SP24VCGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8SNPYSBanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8R2H4MCLabouranswered…4yrs4Y

It depends on their reason for immigration. Those that are seeking refuge should be given a safe place but those that are immigrating for unnecessary or wrong reasons should be denied.

 @9CDC6L5answered…2yrs2Y

I find stricter an undefined term. I would change the current policy but may depending on your view be less or more strict

 @9BXCDKRanswered…2yrs2Y

Economic migrants should be netter screened for their ability to contribute to society but better legal routes for genuine refugees should be established & a more severe stance should be taken with those who are residents of a safe country arriving illegally

 @9BT4ZVVanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9B5ZM6Yanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but make the process easier for skilled workers and strictly screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds, and mental health issues to prevent them from being a danger to others, if they are.

 @92QC6N3answered…3yrs3Y

 @8FFK7HNGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

The applicant's record should be reviewed, but not in a way that opposes everyone's request.

 @98MP6VSLiberal Democratanswered…2yrs2Y

Accept those with a clean criminal record, who intend to work as well as refugees

 @98DXM4Hanswered…2yrs2Y

 @984KDHXanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9NL8HGWanswered…10mos10MO

It's a complex topi! Some advocate for stricter immigration policies to control the flow of immigrants and protect national security, while others emphasize the importance of compassion and providing opportunities for those seeking a better life.
