Immigration is the building blocks of a cultured, educated and hard working society, rather than demonising immigrants we should aim to adopt and embrace these qualities as a society to benefit our communities.

Legal immigrants helped rebuild this country but those who do not wish you integrate themselves in a British society shouldn’t be allowed to stay

 @BBH4X9YConservativedisagreed…4mos4MO

Many immigrants in the uk are illegal, firstly if we do accept them for their cultures and educated factors, we should check their records and gather more information, this will prevent more risk in the country such as rape and murder which is occurring by immigrants.

 @BBG9WQBLabouragreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement. Something we seem to forget is that these numbers we see in data and graphs are people with lives.

 @BBFC2PZdisagreed…4mos4MO

Immigration damages our communities and ourselves. Immigrants are a disease. They spread their violent culture and religion, particularly Islam, it has no place in western society and should be removed from our society, it is a poison that only incentivises terrorism and death. Our communities are damage by the violent nature of these immigrants aswell, rape, torture and overall anti social behaviour. It should be our national duty tk deport all illegal invaders and immigrants all together.

 @BCTRNBN disagreed…2mos2MO

These are people. People seeking a bright and promising future in a glamourised western society. Although there may have been a few cases in which immigrants have caused disruption and concern, many of these people are just trying to get a comfortable job to support their families in their originating countries. It is sad that they are just regarded as numbers on the news, but these are people who have travelled longer than any of us could ever imagine. As I have never been in that position myself, I cannot even begin to imagine the treacherous journey and anxiety. Personally, I believe that…  Read more

Mass immigration will eventually lead to the demographic replacement of the native population so as a nativist I really dont care about whatever hardships they're are facing as it's not the British peoples problem. Mass immigration has a direct effect on the economy in which you've completely ignored despite the fact it is just simple supply and demand. Millions of people coming into the country lowers wages as there is an increased worker supply and also raises demand for goods therefore prices. Overall I believe immigration should be halted and mass remigration is a necessary process for both demographic security and fixing rhe economic problems this country faces.Millions need to go

GDP per capita has been stagnant/going down for years, too many immigrants claim benefits and provide nothing of worth. Too many immigrants end up committing rape, murder, assault and a miriad of other offenses on the native population, all of which could be avoided if they were never let in to begin with. All illegal immigrants should be deported. They broke the law to come here. It is impossible to properly vet them. They are unwanted. Millions of legal immigrants should also be deported as they are a net drain on the economy and have refused to integrate into British culture. Immigration is to blame for many economic hardships we face, but that is a problem of leadership, what must be done is we elect leadership that will halt immigration and deport millions of no good benefits scroungers and foreign criminals.

 @BCVT53N disagreed…2mos2MO

Living in Britain is not a right that everyone in the world is entitled to, no matter how far they have travelled or what kind of hardships they had left behind. Being British involves having the heritage, the culture, and the values of the nation and its people—a passport or residence permit is insufficient.

Furthermore, countries facing hardships will never improve if their citizens have the right to simply desert their homelands rather than stay and improve them. The claim that skilled migrant workers will benefit Britain is dependant on stripping the migrants’ native homelands…  Read more

This is a common trope used by certain people build a straw man which they can blame for the governments incompetence and corruption.

The richest peoples wealth has exploded in recent years, not the wealth of the immigrants. Our country has been built on immigration, we used it massively to rebuild quickly after world war 2, and have now decided to turn on these people who on the whole work so hard to keep community's running for very little money.

The countries issues stem from greed rather than a lack of resources.

 @BB47JJ4 disagreed…4mos4MO

A strong counter-argument is that immigrants are vital to the UK’s economy, society, and public services, and the idea that there are “too many” is misleading. Many sectors, such as healthcare, agriculture, and technology, rely heavily on migrant workers to fill essential roles that would otherwise remain vacant, with the NHS alone depending on foreign-trained doctors and nurses. Far from being a burden, immigrants often contribute more in taxes than they receive in benefits, helping sustain public services. Additionally, the UK faces an ageing population, and immigrants,…  Read more

 @B75RCTL disagreed…9mos9MO

We have the same level of immigrants as other high income countries and our levels are not as high as countries like Sweden or Canada. Our asylum laws make it harder for people to arrive here safely, and the idea that 'illegal' immigrants arrive on boats and stay in fancy hotels is a fallacy.

 @BCPZF69disagreed…2mos2MO

We don't, the percentage of UK residents that are immigrants is actually smaller than right wing groups suggest - a growing tension and anxiety around immigrants is cast as a smoke screen that aims to displace the role that large multi-national corporations and the ultra-wealthy have played in creating large gulfs between wages and prosperity.

in a position of danger, regarding violence or any kind of hazard in the place where you live, in what circumstance would you want to live there? to move elsewhere to a renowned safe place and ensure the security and safety of you and/or your family is a priority above any other. your life could be at risk. your morals, your beliefs, all insecure. finding refuge elsewhere is not with malicious intent, but the intentions to confide in an area for safety.

 @9G4TNX2disagreed…3yrs3Y

They’re fleeing their own country for safety, the least we can do is have a heart and give them a chance to live. They benefit the country, they’re not taking jobs. We should all remember that nobody in this country actually came from this country - Vikings, Anglo-Saxons etc. We’re all descendants from Europe - nobody is just British

 @9G5XZHNdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Immigration allows for a greater import of both low and high skilled labour, and helps diversify the country and educate the native British population on other cultures

 @9FXXTSKdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Immigrants are just people who want better for themselves and their family, where they are born should not determine whether they are allowed a safe or happy life. There is more than enough money and housing to go around, if only the very rich were a little less selfish.

There is no such thing as too many immigrants. The country has plenty of space, as several cities and towns, especially in the North and Midlands, have not recovered the population they had in the 1950s. Most of Scotland is unpopulated due to landlords holding on to too much land. Immigrants bring workers and future business leaders who help bring new opportunities to their communities.

Immigrants are overly criticised for the problems of the UK- they are used as scapegoats and a large amount of what they are blamed for is not relevant to them. Violent immigrants do exist, and they are a problem, as are all violent people. Immigrants themselves are not the problem, and they are often benefits to our society.

 @B8RB2RLGreendisagreed…7mos7MO

Immigrants have never been the problem. Reform uses them as scapegoats too distract from the real problems.

 @B8QT7PPdisagreed…7mos7MO

Not enough babies are being born so jobs will be empty, causing the country to lose money and everything to slow down meaning we need immigrants.

 @B8J8DH8disagreed…7mos7MO

Actually, data often shows that immigrants aren’t ‘too many’ at all. In most countries, immigration levels are modest compared to the overall population. Immigrants often fill essential jobs, contribute more in taxes than they take in benefits, and help sustain public services in ageing societies. Plus, diversity can boost innovation, culture, and trade links. So rather than being a burden, immigration is frequently a net benefit—both economically and socially.

 @B8G7KJWGreendisagreed…7mos7MO

This country's immigrants are simply the backbone of the entire system here. If you intend to deport all of these people this country will simply be worse off. Parties like Reform UK use this argument as a thin veneer to hide their inherent racist and anti-humanist beliefs, as well as using this argument as a means to scapegoat the state of the global economy. It's happened before and it's happening now

The real impact of immigrants is heavily inflated by right wing voices in the media, relying on the inherent racism of a large percentage of the electorate who are far more receptive to blaming the country’s issues on foreigners rather than identifying the actual root cause.
