In what ways should a government balance economic growth with environmental protection?

 @9SYR28Janswered…4mos4MO

Emphasis on creating new renewable energy, lowering bills and creating jobs.

 @9T5GZMLGreenfrom California  answered…4mos4MO

While economic growth is important, some consideration should be saved for sustainability. The "environment" can sometimes be a controversial and divided topic, so instead focus should be on "sustainability." They go hand in hand, but I think the topic would have more bipartisan support if we said that we were slowing, not stopping, economic growth in order to enhance the sustainability of jobs, businesses, and national infrastructure.

In what ways do you feel that welfare systems affect motivation and self-reliance in society?

 @9SYH7K8Labour answered…4mos4MO

The average salary in the country is difficult enough to live in for many people as it is, it is near impossible to rely and live comfortably on just the welfare state so in no way does the system encourage the use of benefits and the state over working jobs.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…4mos4MO

What does the term 'traditional values' mean to you, and do you think they still have a place in today’s society?

 @9TTZL4Yanswered…3mos3MO

Conservatism is an arbitrary concept or ideology. Each generation deviates from the prior to some extent. It’s rooted in the desire to preserve what is considered ‘normal’.

Old ideas die and new ones take their place.

In what ways could a free market, without government regulations, benefit or harm society?

 @9RQG858answered…5mos5MO

Throughout history civilisations throughout the world will always have someone in charge or an entity that regulates the masses. A society without government and these regulators will be anarchy as those who seek power will fight amongst each other violently until one gains control. We need democracy and government and i believe we don’t fully live in fully democratic society now it is ultimately better and far more civilised than what we would be like without a democratically elected government. There’s many lessons history has taught us and one of them is someone must be in control. Battles have been thought for titles and power gain and many lives lost or destroyed so the fact we can elect our leaders today means we are more civilised.
