You believe that government intervention and fiscal policies can help stabilize the economy, reduce unemployment, and promote growth during economic downturns.
Keynesianism is a political and economic ideology that emerged from the works of the British economist John Maynard Keynes. It is primarily centered around the belief that government intervention is necessary to ensure economic stability and prevent recessions. Keynesianism was developed during the Great Depression in the 1930s, a period of severe economic downturn and high unemployment rates. Have you witnessed any small businesses struggling in your area, and what type of government intervention do you think could support them?
@9L6BJF91mo1MO
Yes they struggle in my area. Lower business rates to give businesses a better chance of survival
@9L8HYLT4wks4W
High business rates strangle small businesses. Lowering their rates enables them to have a fighting chance. Lower takes but more people paying for longer works better than high taxes and squeezing the life out of people until they go under and the next business comes along only to be squeezed again.
@9L6BJCG1mo1MO
Create a business support programme that includes an accountant, financial advisor and opportunity for funding/loans.
@9L6BGJZ1mo1MO
Economic intervention needs to be effectively managed. Unsure how this would be done.

If household expenses rise while income remains stagnant, what role should the government play to ease the situation?
@9HT7HMTConservative4mos4MO
Lower taxes and improve incentives for green investment

What are your thoughts on the idea of reducing taxes to put more money in people’s pockets in times of financial crisis?
@9JKLVRV3mos3MO
I think its a good idea but only to a certain point as we cant just give out money in times of crisis or there wouldn't ever be any crisis's which sometimes have a good impact on the economy.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How critical do you think government intervention is in supporting innovation and technological advancements during a recession?
@9J4GYV83mos3MO
Government are useless as the tories spend money on useless things such as how they spent £27000 on drinks during COVID

How do you perceive the importance of government-run social safety nets in times of economic downturn?
@9J4MQ8K 3mos3MO
I would, as long as the government had in the cabinet those with the actual working knowledge of economics and finance, be pro more government intervention, especially monitoring the banks as I feel certain benchmarks need to be followed - although there are already systems to that end.
