I think over emphasis on diversity training will only antagonise white/male employees, who would see a mandatory program as inherently accusatory

It would utilise money that would be better spent on other improvements for overall employee welfare. It is still needed though, but only after an initial offence.

Forcing training on this topic is similar to forcing opinion, which goes against personal freedom. Encouraging open debate and providing non biased information would be preferable.
