Although that is a good point, and I am not doubting a gay couples ability to run a family

I disagree with that sentiment. Mainly because, the traditional Mother and Father structure is of paramount importance to the growth and learning of a child. I am not saying that LGB couples couldn't run a family; I am saying that it would be better for the child if they didn't.
