Unions represent the working man who deserves fair treatment and an equal share of profits generated by their work. Too many companies exploit workers rather than work together to improve productivity and outcomes for all parties and society and the economy as a whole. Unions are vital to this.
Corporations are the pooled resources of their shareholders and therefore would have an inherent and unfair advantage over workers who are unable to collectively negotiate.
Labour unions protect the rights of the workers and make sure that companies do not take advantage of their workforces or push their people to a breaking point. They also defend workers from managerial incompetence
