If businesses were doing all they could to help the environment, there would be no need for regulation in the first place.

It’s not because the problem is still coming at us, current regulations are late to the growing problem, won’t stop the global warming in the future, there needs to be a change in mindset if humanity wants to overcome this issue.

The government needs to regulated businesses, as many would be unethical or exploit workers if there was no legislation.

 @B8V79L3Greendisagreed…6mos6MO

When it comes to the environment things must be ‘over regulated’ we have no choice but to do what is best for the rest of humanity. The businesses can suck it.

 @B8QYKNVdisagreed…7mos7MO

in the case of global warming you cant over regulate until global warming is in a controllable state where the effects will not be lasting for generations to come.

 @9HKXPKQdisagreed…3yrs3Y

that they are over regulating it and that women and people of colour often have less opportunities than others

 @9FJ3WJZdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Regulation ensures businesses cannot unfairly treat the poor (eg. Fracking). Fossil fuel subsidies could instead be transferred to renewables, fossil fuels are high cost and unsustainable

 @9NTVJRDGreendisagreed…2yrs2Y

If the companies were left to their own rules, they would destroy the environment because it's more profitable

 @9MY2X3GConservativedisagreed…2yrs2Y

The businesses who are most affected by this regulation already see enough profit to cover the losses that may come with stricter regulation. They are not the ones who need protecting.

 @9FCJXNJdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Businesses cannot be trusted to self-regulate on environmental matters as they only care about profits, so the government must step in for the good of humanity

 @9FC4X8Hdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Businesses cannot be trusted to self-relage how there production and exchanges are effecting the environment since they will wilingly take the chance to increase profit margins even if it has a toll on the environment.

 @9FBMSQZdisagreed…3yrs3Y

The planet is burning up and businesses cannot be trusted to do the right thing and stop killing us all.

 @9FBZS2Pdisagreed…3yrs3Y

Businesses evidently cannot be trusted to self-regulate in regards to the environment. The government should step in.

The government is subsidising a failing fossil fuel industry with unfair tax breaks and wasting tax payers money and hindering new business. Renewable energy is cheaper as shown by their profits compared to other power companies. Your cost are high because we failed to adapt and let dictators control vital resources.

 @9NQQZN5 disagreed…2yrs2Y

Large companies have been proven to be the top contributors of C02 emissions yet the general public are punished and taxed more.
Clearly the government isn’t doing enough as we didn’t meet our targets that we agreed to under the Kyoto Protocol.

 @9GN5KTTdisagreed…3yrs3Y

The scientific evidence is now pointing to an extremely high likelihood of near-term social collapse due to climate change and ecological overshoot across the world. If we don't regulate on the environment then we are condemning ourselves to significant decline and potential social breakdown.

 @9GL64HGGreendisagreed…3yrs3Y

Not true. I work in the environmental sector and the state of our environment is at a critical point. Seasons are changing because of climate change and affecting people, animals and nature alike. We need stronger regulations on business and construction to ensure we are doing all we can to protect and safeguard it's future.

 @9GMXYS8disagreed…3yrs3Y

If environmental protection is not sought our, ecosystem will collapse in a rapid space of time and our natural world will be degraded so as to hamper human life.

 @9GKBNYNdisagreed…3yrs3Y

The current model is not deregulated but merely a current model of regulation, changes to this model are not extra regulation but reregilation.
