A 21st Century democracy should be able to elect its head of state. The fact that remnants of the feudal system remain and continue to enrich the king and his son at the expense of UK citizens, is as embarrassing as it is disgraceful.
As for tourism, the Palace of Versailles receives more tourists per annum than Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.

Because for me the monarch takes away the true issues of poverty and things in the UK that are truly under whelmed. Yes it brings tourism, but that is not enough to work on the matter that the country is truly underfunded through many aspect.

I don’t know the exact stats on how much tourism and positive foreign relations the royal family bring. But it’s mainly about their purpose as something higher to look up to. All working members of the royal family are hard working, devoting much of their time to charities and public engagements. Their lives are devoted to service. Their presence is stable and admirable. Set apart from the political, higher ideals to aim for that aren’t divisive. The fact that the Prime Minister has to be humbled by meeting with the monarch and isn’t the highest office in the country in is a very positive thing.

The monarchy brings in over a billion from tourism and other means every year dwarfing the salary the crown receives from the government.

The British Monarchy is merely a bunch of people waving in crowns and have too much impact and too much money. They should not have as much money as they do, especially when people are starving on the streets and they're quite frankly the most boring people on the planet, I don't care about them at all.
