Within reason and the child must be of an age to say that they want to go with them as having a mother and father with provide them with the traditional aspect of growing up

 @9PTPZV9answered…9mos9MO

Yes as long as the needs of the children are always put before any decision based on equality between adopting couples.

SDP believes in Family as foundation of our society,personally if Same Sex couples can prove their are fit to adopt I have no objections.

 @9P3WRNJanswered…10mos10MO

No, They should not have joint adoption rights as it is biologically impossible for a child to have two parents of the same sex, and adopting families should try to mimic biological families

Yes, but I think heterosexual couples should be given priority - not because I think they are more capable of looking after a child, but because the child of a gay couple will, unfortunately, potentially suffer from discrimination - and perhaps should not be put in that position particularly in areas where discrimination is more likely.

Yes but it should be mandatory for them to have and name a person of the opposite sex that they know and trust (like a relative or family-friend) that will play an important and influential role in the child/children's life (sort of like a "god-parent") so that the child/children will have access to influence and perspectives equally from a male and female role model/parental figure

 @9LY58HHanswered…11mos11MO

If they can prove the child will not be influenced in anyway and have the same chances of self growth as any other child then yes.

Depends because a lot of children may feel when they are older would of rather had mum and dad adopt them mainly I would say adopt girls because they would care less than boys

 @9FTN5MTanswered…2yrs2Y

yes and no. I think it should be a longer process for adoption to ensure that a child can have a fulfilled childhood.

 @99M8YTKanswered…2yrs2Y

All male couples should not be able to adopt children under two years old. Infants need physical mothering by a female.

Although I do believe a male/female parent partnership is ideal. There are plenty of lovely, great homoseual parents.
However it should be known if they support allowing children to be transgender before adulthood. It should never be encouraged.

It is harmful to a childs mental health for them to be grromed politically.

There needs to be proper checks as they have a higher chance of molesting children (this is backed by evidence).

 @8Y4HYPCanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as the children have the opportunity to be themselves whether that is gay or straight.

The question of whether gay couples should have the same adoption rights as straight couples involves considerations of equality, the best interests of the child, and societal values. Here are key arguments for and against granting equal adoption rights to gay couples:

### Arguments for Equal Adoption Rights

1. **Equality and Non-Discrimination**: Granting equal adoption rights to gay couples ensures that all individuals have the same legal rights, regardless of their sexual orientation. This promotes fairness and combats discrimination.

2. **Best Interests of the Child**: Numerous studies have…  Read more
