Need to make it safer for immigrants to cross, and turn away violent criminals so the others have a chance

 @9QPB6GDGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Let anyone in who is beneficial to the country. Also, ship out anyone who does not contribute, including uk-born non-contributors

 @9QGNYKKGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Complete change, streamline, make it easier in emergency situations like war torn countries but ensure they are allowed to work and pay taxes and protected. Not get lost in the system

 @9Q8ZV68Greenanswered…9mos9MO

No, fund the current system properly and hire more staff to process applications, with screening for those if they have criminal backgrounds.

 @9Q85K55Greenanswered…9mos9MO

The issue is the processing is too slow so there are so many people skilled people that have come here that want to work and can’t. Why are we denying people that right of a better life?

 @9Q7KBQ5Greenanswered…9mos9MO

The concentration in London is too high. But other parts of the UK, e.g Scotland, should welcome more immigration of skilled workers

 @9Q6XTZBGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but a better system needs to be in place for people choosing to live in the uk to screen for criminal background and other risks and and established system of support for refugees seeking safety

 @9Q3ZXFCGreenanswered…9mos9MO

It depends on the circumstances of the immigrants and whether they have anywhere else to go (think WW2 when refugees and jews had to migrate and if they were deported back - they would be killed)

 @9PTR9CKGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Yes and no, it should be easier for those seeking asylum and fleeing, but there should be background checks regarding criminal history (particularly violent). They should be given jobs however and training that is mandatory, so they can assimilate into the UK and contribute as well as help get their lives together. Life skills etc should also be taught

 @9PSFD8FGreenanswered…9mos9MO

No, accept everyone who isn’t a violent criminal but restrict use of public services such as the NHS to those who pay taxes, citizen or otherwise

 @9PG8NV7Greenanswered…9mos9MO

No, the current policy is sufficient. But Criminal Background screening must be stricter. Immigrants to be reviewed every 3 years.

 @9P52DQYGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Easier for non economic refugees but review recent immigrants to ensure they become productive citizens

 @9P464FCGreenanswered…10mos10MO

We need to bring back the legal asylum process and reform our current processing standards to ensure they maintain the human rights of refugees and asylum seekers. We must lower the requirements for skilled, foreign workers to enter the country due to crippling shortages in key industries such as medicine.

 @9P3Z7ZPGreenanswered…10mos10MO

It should be less strict for refugees escaping war zones and we should not be dumping them on islands. We should be helping them.

 @9P3WZK6Greenanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, but only to improve the lives of both migrants and immigrants, ensuring that they come here with sufficient support

 @9NZWVS9Greenanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, but if they would like to move over they should have a certain amount of years before they then return to their county if their country are at war they have an opportunity to extend that visit

 @9NNZ6M8Greenanswered…10mos10MO

Yes but make efforts to make other communities more accessible and inclusive to tackle overpopulation in large cities

 @9NNN7XYGreenanswered…10mos10MO

Make the process easier for skilled workers and those that have assisted the UK or who have been directly affected by the UK’s actions throughout the world.

 @9JYKSHVGreenanswered…1yr1Y

The processing of immigrants need to be faster so not stuck for years without rights in the UK or ability to leave.

 @9JSTVJSGreenanswered…1yr1Y

No, processing of migrants needs to be better, with less financial support to them and more of a focus on getting migrants and refugees into work in understaffed sectors.

 @9PPNSHQGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, legal immigration should be aligned with the infrastructure being available to support them eg housing

 @9PLMTK9Greenanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but process should be improved, simplified and sped up for all, including refugees and skilled workers

 @9NDRNP3Greenanswered…10mos10MO

Yes, and screen for criminal background and they need to all work and become productive citizens, but also make the process better for asylum seekers and refugees

 @9LWCNHQGreenanswered…11mos11MO

Screen all immigrants (as far as possible) for criminal backgrounds, while also making the process easier for refugees

 @9LJVVT3Greenanswered…12mos12MO

No, but we should be working with other European countries to ensure they are also able to provide housing and support for asylum seekers and refugees.

 @9LC9TCDGreenanswered…12mos12MO

Make it easier for refugees, and those who come here by choice should be reviewed for productivity. Or not have access to public money for a set amount of time.

 @9FXF5WRGreenanswered…1yr1Y

No, it should be made far easier for people to legally come here so that people don’t have to resort to dangerous and illegal means

 @9Q48XWNGreenanswered…9mos9MO

Create a properly funded and legally supported immigration authority which connects with border police to screen out dangerous people. Refugees should be quickly processed and enabled to become productive in society. Social migrants should be integrated with the understanding that they pay an appropriate fee to the Crown direct from their earnings until it has been paid off, much like student debt works at present.

 @9PQKXGMGreenanswered…9mos9MO

The process should be made easier for jobs with skill shortages, and refugee right to seek asylum should be protected

 @95WQ9ZBanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, only if they are found to have a criminal background. Make it easier for refugees

 @8XRGC7VGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, by creating a scheme aimed at ensuring immigrants can become productive citizens within their skill set (potentiall a skill review per immigrant) - assign a job via a government scheme if neccessary.

 @8TMCV5DGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

No for reugees but the system for screening out potential threats needs to be improved

 @8SP24VCGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8SK2J93Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

No, but make the process easier for skilled workers and strictly screen imigrants for criminal backgrounds.

 @8SDKWB6Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but review recent immigrants to ensure they have become productive citizens and make the process easier for refugees

 @8RDWSJWGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

Skilled immigrant workers and all immigrant workers have risked their lives to get into this country and do all of the work that regular British people either refuse to do or can’t do

 @8QRPBGFGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

There are too many citizens in this country compared to its size. We need more compassionate policies towards refugees.

 @8QJSHPVGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

They should make it stricter, particularly regarding employment. I would cap the total percentage of immigrant workers in the UK at 11%.

 @9BS4F98Greenanswered…2yrs2Y

They have to prove working within 60 days
And have to pay an early tax report. If sole trader.
Taxes to be increased to 30% rather than 25%
Until they get residency and closely monitored on bank accounts and need to show proof of address and income within 60-90 days.

 @9B4DP6Tanswered…2yrs2Y

No, the current policy is sufficient and make the process easier for skilled workers.

 @8THRG29Greenanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes they should but make the process easier for refugees so as long as they are not a danger

 @8FFK7HNGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

The applicant's record should be reviewed, but not in a way that opposes everyone's request.
